With 5 games on tap in an abbreviated Thursday slate, we look to decimate this Thursday line- up and what better way to go into the weekend then with the maximum amount of ammunition after these two wins?

Los Angeles Angels Future Bet?

I want to start this off by saying that if you go up and down the Los Angeles Angels lineup, they have one of the best teams in the majors.

What has possibly stopped them from being a winning baseball team is not having Jered Weaver and superstars such as Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton trying to get acclimated to a different team. For Pujols, this should be done already as this is his 2nd season with L.A.

If you’re looking for a future bet to win a division or more, the Angels offer great betting odds with such great talent.

Los Angeles Angels (19-27) at Kansas City Royals (21-22)

The Los Angeles Angels have finally woken up. They’ve won 4 straight games and their nucleus of Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, and Josh Hamilton, have all started to hit for average and power. The season is less than 2 months in and look for the Angels to go on a major run.

They’re coming off of a 7-1 beating of the Seattle Mariners in which Mark Trumbo went 3 for 4 with a triple. Trumbo is also another piece to the puzzle for this team. He adds protection for the big boppers even though on most teams, he’d be considered a big bopper himself.

Will Joe Blanton Pick Up His 1st Win of the Season?

After getting out of the gates fast, the Kansas City Royals are reverting back to their losing ways. This is an improved Royals team with Billy Butler and Alex Gordon, but clearly they need a little bit more to compete with the elite teams.

The Angels certainly don’t want to lose their momentum and this is a tough spot, on the road (a place where they’ve come up short) and with a pitcher in Blanton who has had little luck this year. Thus far, Blanton has put in some decent efforts, deserving of a win , but the offense came up short. Now, the offense is at full force and the door is open for Blanton to pick up the “W”.

Blanton has a career 2.96 ERA in 7 career starts against K.C.

Look for L.A. to continue their winning streak; they’re loaded with confidence and are simply better than Kansas City.

Baltimore Orioles (25-21) at Toronto Blue Jays (19-27)

The Baltimore Orioles are coming off a very solid performance in a 6-3 win over the New York Yankees and Hiroki Kuroda. Granted, Kuroda was injured early, but much like the Los Angeles Angels, this is a team that’s loaded with offense.

Some picked the Toronto Blue Jays to win the American League Eastern Division at the beginning of the season, but clearly, they’re a bit overrated. R.A. Dickey hasn’t lived up to the billing and the Jays have been struggling.

Let the Fireworks Begin?

With a Kevin Gausman vs. Brandon Morrow (1-3, 5.16) pitching matchup, we could see a lot of offense tonight. Gausman has no experience in the majors while Morrow has been less than stellar. In his last outing, Morrow lost to the Yankees 7-2 while giving up 5 runs, 7 hits, and 2 home runs in 5 innings.

We have a game here with the likes of Jose Bautista (4 for 4 in his last game with 2 HR and 4 RBI against Tampa Bay), Edwin Encarnacion, Adam Jones, and Chris Davis. There could be an outburst of runs scored against sub-par and first time pitching.

The total is a bit high at 9 runs; I was looking for 8, but the OVER is the pick in this game.
