Morning MLB Odds Report

Rangers (Perez) vs. Royals (Santana)

Covered by Willie Bee

What a great way to close out that series against Tampa Bay for the Rangers. They jumped on Matt Moore and were able to secure a much-needed win that keeps them atop the standings for a Wild Card position.

Tonight they start up a set against the Royals, another team fighting it out for a spot in October's festivities. Not a bad pitching showdown either, as Ervin Santana and Martin Perez have both been getting the job done.

As for the MLB odds, they show Kansas City at -125 to win the opener.

Giants (Lincecum) vs. Yankees (Sabathia)

Covered by Ron Patrick

It's not looking too good for the Yankees. They're 3.5 games behind right now, which means they have to take care of business at home against the Giants if they want any chance of moving up.

It's rather strange to see the struggles that both C.C. Sabathia (13-13, 4.90 ERA) and Tim Lincecum (10-13, 4.40 ERA) have endured this season, but we'll see if these experienced hurlers can step it up at Yankee Stadium tonight.

Current MLB Betting lines have New York favored at -140, while San Francisco is listed at +130.

Astros (Oberholtzer) vs. Indians (McAllister)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Astros are very clearly building for the future, and one guy they have to be really excited about is left-hander Brett Oberholtzer. He's more than held his own since coming up to the majors, going 4-3 with a 2.98 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 11 total appearances.

Not bad for a rookie, right? Cleveland will be hoping for a good start out of Zach McAllister, who hasn't yet faced Houston this season.

What kind of line are we looking at for tonight? Well, the Indians are overwhelming favorites at -220 for our MLB Picks. The total is at eight runs.
