Find out where we believe the best value is hiding for today's major league baseball action.

Orioles (Hammel) vs. Yankees (Kuroda)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Yankees have taken both games against the Orioles by a single run, pushing their winning streak to six games. They're in second place in the AL East and are now five games back of the Red Sox for first place.

Joe Girardi has to like his team's chances of pulling off the sweep, considering he's got Hiroki Kuroda heading onto the mound against Jason Hammel. Willie likes a rather short price (-122) on Kuroda and is picking New York to win on the money-line.

Red Sox (Lackey) vs. Angels (Weaver)

Covered by Willie Bee

What a game last night. The Red Sox seemed well on their way to a victory with a 7-3 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth, but the Angels tied things up and then won in extra innings off a walkoff two-run homer by Josh Hamilton.

Jered Weaver (2-4, 3.79 ERA) and John Lackey (6-5, 2.81 ERA) will meet up in the series finale for tonight's ESPN primetime game. Boston has been a powerhouse this season, but Willie believes L.A. is the right play as -131 favorites.

Dodgers (Kershaw) vs. Giants (Gaudin)

Covered by Ron Patrick

You should know the deal by now. Whenever Clayton Kershaw's pitching, his team's going to be favored in the MLB odds. Today the Dodgers, who are playing great baseball at any rate, are listed as high as -180 to win at AT&T Park.

Looking at his career splits, Kershaw has posted a remarkable 0.74 ERA in eight starts in San Francisco, and with L.A.'s bats waking up too, Ron feels he has to back the Dodgers in this spot. However, he's going to take a little bit of a chance by backing them on the run-line.

Rockies (Oswalt) vs. Diamondbacks (Corbin)

Covered by Joe Freda

It had to happen sometime. Patrick Corbin was finally handed his first losing decision of the season, but that doesn't take away from the fact he's been phenomenal for the Diamondbacks. He's now 9-1 with a 2.49 ERA.

On the mound for Houston will be Roy Oswalt, who's had a dreadful time since returning to the major leagues. He's lost all three of his starts and has allowed four or more earned runs each time out on the hill. Joe is recommending a play on the OVER 9 runs with his MLB picks for today's game in Phoenix.

Astros (Bedard) vs. Rangers (Grimm)

Covered by Joe Freda

We'd be willing to guess that not many of you had the Astros beating Yu Darvish and the Rangers yesterday as massive underdogs. If you sided with Houston, there's nothing else to say but congratulations.

Texas is back in place as a huge favorite today, as Justin Grimm (7-6, 5.84 ERA) tries to out-duel Erik Bedard (3-4, 4.59 ERA). This is another game in which Joe thinks the OVER is the best call, so he's adding the OVER 9.5 runs to his sports picks.
