The Upton Brothers are together in Atlanta, and that is behind the recent shift in the MLB futures odds as we sit two weeks until the start of spring training and my latest array of future odds should help you with your MLB picks.

It was shortly after Thanksgiving when the Atlanta Braves grabbed free agent Melvin Emanuel Upton, better known as BJ.  A 5-year deal worth more than $75 million was enough to convince the 28-year-old outfielder to relocate 450 miles north from Tampa to ply his trade in center field.

Atlanta completed a family reunion last week when they brought in BJ's little brother Justin from Arizona in a trade, and the Braves immediately elevated their 2013 World Series betting odds.  The latest numbers from Bovada placed Atlanta third among NL teams at 12/1 to capture the Fall Classic behind the Dodgers (17/2) and Nationals (9/1). A full list of World Series odds is below.

Seeing both Upton's change jerseys this offseason was not a surprise; that they each landed in Hotlanta rates as a mild shock.  It was a given that BJ would seek his free agent fortunes and leave the Rays, and he made a very logical choice for the Braves to sign after they cut ties with Michael Bourn, a Scott Boras client who has yet to find employment.

It was known that Arizona was shopping Justin, with the Texas Rangers failing in their efforts to land the 25-year-old after Josh Hamilton bolted from the Lone Star State.  The Diamondbacks had a deal worked out to send Justin to Seattle, but he put the kibosh on that swap thanks to a no-trade clause in his contract.

Atlanta jumped into the picture and ended up sending versatile Martin Prado and pitcher Randall Delgado along with three minor leaguers to the D-Backs for Justin Upton and 3B Chris Johnson.  Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez almost immediately announced he had his lineup set for this season with Justin batting third ahead of big brother BJ in the cleanup slot.

Andrelton Simmons, the talented 2nd-year shortstop, will apparently bat leadoff followed by RF Justin Heyward.  Catcher Brian McCann is due to bat fifth in front of 1B Freddie Freeman, 2B Dan Uggla and whoever wins the 3B job between newcomer Johnson and Juan Francisco.

Former Braves CF Bourn is not the only Boras client still looking for work as we pull inside of two weeks until pitchers and catchers report for spring training.  Kyle Lohse, who is represented by Boras, is a pitcher who doesn't know where he will be reporting just yet.  Some recent rumors have the Rangers kicking the tires with Boras with regards to Lohse.  Bourn is reportedly being courted by both the Mets and Mariners.
