Sunday’s finale has a pair of righties matched, with Los Angeles’ Jered Weaver (7-7, 3.62 ERA) facing Seattle’s Aaron Harang (5-10 5.49 ERA).

The Los Angeles Angels held on for a second straight win in their road set with the Seattle Mariners, notching Saturday’s 5-1 victory at plus 110 MLB odds

Angels, Trout cash at Safeco

Los Angeles’ Mike Trout cracked a two-run homer in the first frame of Saturday’s win, while mates J.B. Shuck and Grant Green united to bat 5-for-9. Angels relievers J.C. Gutierrez and Buddy Boshers held Seattle hitless over the contest’s final two innings, combining for three strikeouts.

Mariners mates Kendrys Morales and Michael Morse both logged 0-for-4 nights, with Morales leaving five men on base. Seattle’s Endy Chavez finished 3-for-4, while the duel’s combined six runs dipped UNDER the ‘total’ of eight.

Weaver falls to Indians

Weaver logged a second straight loss in Monday’s 5-2 defeat for Los Angeles as a 127 home favorite to the Cleveland Indians. The 30-year-old allowed four runs over six innings, surrendering a long ball to Cleveland’s Lonnie Chisenhall.

Los Angeles was edged in hits, 10-6, with mates Josh Hamilton and Chris Nelson held to combined 0-for-8. Angels first baseman Mark Trumbo drove in his side’s two runs, drilling a homer and RBI-single.

Harang outdueled in Oakland

Harang came away with a no-decision on the same night, with Seattle’s 2-1 setback to the Oakland Athletics. The 12-year veteran gave up five hits over seven frames, falling short of cashing as a 167 road dog.

Mariners reliever Carter Capps picked up his staff’s loss, allowing a walkoff homer to Oakland’s Brandon Moss. Seattle’s Michael Saunders had the team’s warmest bat in a 2-for-3 night, while the tight affair’s three runs plunged UNDER the ‘total’ of eight.

Back the UNDER on Sunday

William Hill opened Weaver as a 135 road favorite, while first listing the ‘total’ at a flat 7 ½. Seattle remains home for Monday’s opener against the Texas Rangers, while Los Angeles has a day off before visiting the Tampa Bay Rays.

I am backing the UNDER in this finale as part of Sunday’s free picks, riding the low octane in this series.

Weaver has loosened up a bit in his last two starts, but has a solid spot to settle back down here with the UNDER going 8-1-2 in the three-time All-Star’s last 11 matchups against Seattle. Los Angeles has had to rely on its hurlers’ arms, missing fire power with just 2.2 RPG over its last five contests.

Harang struggled in earlier matchups this year with Los Angeles, but will not see some of the same bats this time around. The San Diego native faces an Angels club that has seen the UNDER cash at 5-0 in its last five contests against right-handed starters.

Umpire Tom Hallion is scheduled to call the balls and strikes, with the UNDER collecting at a 7-2 clip in his last nine spots behind the plate. The span included a pair of matchups involving the Angels, who split two tight affairs with Oakland.

Look to a MLB pick on the UNDER to get the money again here, adding another cashed ticket to the wager’s 4-1-1 mark in Seattle’s last six games that followed a defeat.

MLB Pick: UNDER 7 ½ at William Hill
