The Brewers have been scoring a lot of runs lately and that should continue against Scott Feldman of the Cubs, but Wily Peralta is also struggling for Milwaukee so go ‘over’.

Look for a fairly high scoring game to hit the double-digits Sunday when Scott Feldman and the Chicago Cubs (5-11, 2-6 away) pay a visit to Wily Peralta and the Milwaukee Brewers (8-8, 6-5 home) in the final game of a three-game series from Miller Park in Milwaukee, WI at 2:10 ET.

The posted total at Bookmaker Sportsbook is 8½ for this contest with the current odds on the ‘over’ set at -120.

The Brewers have caught fire by winning six straight games since beginning the season at 2-8, and Milwaukee has won those games by getting hot offensively since returning home from their last road trip.

The Brewers are a perfect 5-0 on this current home stand while averaging 6.20 runs per game and they have scored at least five runs on four of those five wins including in each of the first two games of this series. The Milwaukee bats should remain hot today vs. the struggling Feldman.

There was some doubt as to whether or not Feldman could take this start as he has been dealing with a bad back, but he will give it a go. Feldman has had a tough time making the transition to the National League after coming over from the Texas Rangers, although at least part of his struggles could probably be attributed to the back issues.

Feldman has made two starts for the Cubs and he has been knocked around to the tune of a 6.00 ERA and an atrocious 2.11 WHIP while going 0-2. He has also had awful command with seven walks compared to only four strikeouts in nine innings, so the last thing that he needs right now is to be facing a hot offense.

Now, before punching those tickets on the Brewers today, consider that Feldman is not the only struggling pitcher in this game as Milwaukee’s Peralta is 0-1 with a 6.19 ERA and a poor 1.69 WHIP in three starts covering 16 innings, and his command has not exactly been stellar either with 10 strikeouts compared to eight walks.

To give you an idea of just how bad Peralta has been, he could not even go the necessary five innings to get the win after the Brewers staked him to a 9-3 lead vs. the San Francisco Giants in his last start on Tuesday! Peralta needed by get pulled after allowing six runs with five of them earned on seven hits in just four innings with three walks against only one strikeout.

Finally, the ‘over’ is now 9-3 in the last 12 games played at Miller Park, and given this pitching matchup, look for that pattern to continue on Sunday.
