Marcus Stroman will take the hill for the Blue Jays after winning his last three decisions. The right-hander improved to 4-2 with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP after throwing 5 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out six while issuing just one walk and giving up seven hits in a 9-0 win over the Braves on Thursday. Stroman has an impressive 3-0 record with a 2.63 ERA and one complete game in four road starts this season.

The Brewers will go with Matt Garza (2-0, 2.43 ERA, 1.11 WHIP in five starts), who has allowed two or less earned runs in four of his five starts and no more than three earned runs in all his starts. Garza has been dominant at home, going 2-0 with a 3.24 ERA in three starts, although he has surrendered three home runs in those outings. Still, I really like Under 8.5 at +110 MLB odds here.

Royals vs. Yankees

Jason Hammel, who will make his ninth start of the season for the Royals, allowed five earned runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings in Tuesday's 7-1 loss against the Yankees, failing to get a strikeout.

Hammel (1-5, 6.20 ERA, 1.75 WHIP) has given up at least five runs in three of his last four starts and he has a poor 0-2 record with a 7.20 ERA in three road starts and he's 1-3 with a 5.16 ERA in five night starts, allowing five home runs in those outings.

Luis Severino will start for the Yankees, he's winless in his last four starts despite giving up three or less earned runs in his last three appearances. Severino was solid against the Rays last Friday, allowing just one earned run on five hits over five innings to get a no-decision in a 5-4 loss.

Jason Hammel has struggled on the road and in night games, when he is prone to giving up home runs and the Yankees just beat him one week ago, so this is the perfect spot to take New York and their high-powered offense with our MLB picks
