Stephen Strasburg (7-1, 2.91 ERA, 1.05 WHIP) will take the hill for the Nationals after winning his last four starts. Strasburg allowed two earned runs on four hits and three walks with seven strikeouts over seven innings in Friday's 13-3 win against the A's. The right-hander has won five of his last six decisions, posting a 2.75 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP and a 3.86 strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) in 39 1/3 innings over that stretch and he's tied first in the National League with seven wins, ranks fourth with a 2.91 ERA and fifth with a 1.05 WHIP.

The Dodgers will go with Clayton Kershaw (7-2, 2.28 ERA, 0.90 WHIP), who gave up just one earned run on two hits (one home run) and one walk with 14 strikeouts over seven innings to get a no-decision in a 2-1 12-inning win over the Brewers last Friday. Kershaw is tied first in the National League with seven wins, leads the league with 83 innings pitched and a 2.28 ERA, ranks second with an 0.90 WHIP and is third with 92 strikeouts. I'm looking at 'Under' 6.5 at -105 MLB odds on this marquee pitching matchup, the total might be low but it doesn't mean that it's not the smart play.

Free MLB Pick: Under 6.5 (-105)

Red Sox vs. Yankees

Right-hander Rick Porcello (3-7, 4.24 ERA, 1.48 WHIP) will make his 13th start for the Red Sox after allowing three earned runs on eight hits (two home runs) and one walk with five strikeouts across six innings to take the loss against the Orioles last Friday. Porcello is 1-2 with a 3.09 ERA in five road starts and the Yankees already beat him this season, when he gave up three runs (two earned) in 6 2/3 innings on April 26 in Boston.

CC Sabathia (6-2, 4.12 ERA, 1.34 WHIP) has lowered his ERA from 5.77 to 4.12 over his last four starts, giving up two earned runs or less in those outings. Sabathia dominated the Blue Jays last Thursday, allowing just one earned run on five hits (one home run) and no walks with seven strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings and he's unbeaten in four starts at Yankee Stadium, despite posting an awful 6.17 ERA. I'm adding the Yankees -102 to my MLB picks here because of their superior offense and Sabathia's recent resurgence.
