Carlos Carrasco (5-2, 2.89 ERA, 0.92 WHIP) will take the hill for the Indians after winning his last three decisions. Carrasco, who went 3-0 with a 3.90 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP over five starts in May, gave up two earned runs on four hits (two home runs) and one walk with seven strikeouts over seven innings in a 5-3 win over the Athletics on May 29. The right-hander is 4-0 with an impressive 2.18 ERA in five road starts and he's 4th in the American League with an 0.92 WHIP.

The Royals will go with Jason Hammel (1-6, 6.18 ERA, 1.71 WHIP), who went 1-3 with a poor 5.83 ERA in five May starts, allowing six home runs. Hammel gave up four earned runs on four hits and four walks with two strikeouts in just 4 1/3 innings of a 10-7 loss against the Tigers on May 29, although he did not factor in the decision.

Hammel has been a major disappointment in 10 starts with the Royals. With his 6.18 ERA, he ranks 89th out of 93 qualified starters this season and his 4.1 walks per 9 innings (BB/9) and 65 percent strand rate are his career-worst since 2007, when he was with the Rays. I'm fading Hammel and the Royals, he will turn things around eventually but the Indians are the better team and Carrasco is on fire. I like Cleveland at -173 MLB odds

Dodgers vs. Brewers

Left-hander Rich Hill (2-2, 4.09 ERA, 1.50 WHIP) will make his sixth start for the Dodgers. He allowed one earned run on one hit with two walks and four strikeouts over five innings of a 5-1 win over the Cardinals on May 29 and he's pitched well away from Dodger Stadium, going 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in two road starts.

Matt Garza (2-2, 3.98 ERA, 1.20 WHIP) looks to get back on track after losing his last two starts, allowing 10 earned runs on 14 hits (three home runs) over 11 innings. Garza gave up four earned runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings of a 4-2 loss against the Mets on May 29 and he's 2-1 with a 4.91 ERA in four home starts and 1-2 with a 6.62 in three day starts. I'm adding the Dodgers -148 to my MLB picks because I just can't trust Garza right now while Hill has allowed two earned runs or less in four of his five starts this season.
