Our Friday's MLB picks on totals focus on the matches between Toronto/Detroit and Colorado/Arizona. This handicapper went stellar on Thursday at 4-1, so read on because you don't want to miss this!

Blue Jays Hutchinson vs. Tigers (Sanchez)  7:05 PM ET
Drew Hutchinson has a very deceiving 8-1 record this season. Truth be told, he’s been the beneficiary of some exceptional run support, and especially so on the road. He’s gone 2-0 in eight road starts in 2015 despite a monster 8.92 ERA and 1.93 WHIP during those outings. Hutchinson was aided by the Blue Jays averaging 10.9 runs per game on the road when he’s their starting pitcher. After enduring a bit of an offensive funk, the Blue Jays bats have come alive during their previous two games, scoring 17 runs, and pounding out 30 hits. Toronto has gone 13-5 over the total this season when installed as a road money line underdog of +100 to +125, and they fall into that parameter on Friday.

The Tigers have remarkably gone over the total in each of their previous thirteen games. Detroit’s starter Annibal Sanchez has allowed 12 home runs in 70 1/3 innings pitched at home this season. That’s not good news considering he’ll be facing an opponent tonight that’s smashed 106 home runs already in 2015. The Tigers hurler has a lofty 4.86 ERA in eleven starts at Comerica Park.

This has all the signs of a high scoring game, and one of my MLB picks on Friday will be indicative of that prediction. Bovada will provide us with the optimum betting price for this wager.

MLB Pick: Toronto and Detroit over 8.5 (-105)  at Bovada

Rockies (Kendrick) vs. Diamondbacks (Anderson) 9:40 PM ET
Kyle Kendrick enters today in bad form over his last three starts, posting a large 7.02 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, allowed 7 home runs in 16 2/3 innings, and all three games went over the total. The Rockies right-handed hurler has allowed a whopping 23 home runs this season in only 96 1/3 innings. That translates to a horrible 1 home run allowed per 4.19 innings pitched. In two starts versus Arizona this year, Kendrick has a mammoth 10.45 ERA and allowed 5 home runs in just 10 1/3 innings pitched.

Arizona heads into today having gone 8-2-2 over the total during their last twelve games. Chase Anderson has been terrible during his previous two starts with a sizable 9.25 ERA, and he surrendered 5 home runs in 10 1/3 innings. In two starts versus Colorado this year, Anderson has a gigantic 11.70 ERA and allowed 4 home runs in 10.0 innings of work.

Considering both of these starting pitchers tendencies to give up the long ball with frequent regularity, a high scoring game seems to be in the cards tonight. 5Dimes will be getting my call for this wager based on their current price.

MLB Pick: Colorado and Arizona over 9.0 (-108) at 5Dimes
