Our MLB consultant shares his two top totals picks for Friday. Join us in reading his convincing betting preview article covering games between the Indians/Yankees and Rangers/Tigers.

Indians (Carrasco) vs. Yankees (Tanaka): 7:05 PM ET
Carlos Carrasco has been terrific during his previous five starts, posting an excellent 1.36 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, and tossed two complete games. The Indians right-hander has been superb over his previous five road starts, compiling a miniscule 1.11 ERA in those outings. Since 2014, Carrasco made two dominating starts versus the Yankees in which he had a 1.36 ERA and microscopic 0.46 WHIP. Cleveland is 36-24 under the total on the road in 2015.

Masahiro Tanaka has displayed very good form during his previous three starts. During that stretch, the Yankees right-hander has a stellar 2.57 ERA and 0.81 WHIP.

The Yankees have gone 17-6 under the total in August home games since 2014. Cleveland is 29-12 under the total in August road games since 2013. I like this contest to be a low scoring affair for one of my MLB picks on Friday. According to the MLB odds at Pinnacle, they offer the least amount of juice pertaining to this specific wager.

MLB Picks: Play on the Indians/Yankees Under 7.5 (-124).at Pinnacle

Rangers (Lewis) vs. Tigers (Verlander)7:08 PM ET
Colby Lewis has posted a lofty 4.91 ERA and 1.74 WHIP in five career starts at Comerica Park in Detroit. Lewis is 8-1 over the total this season when it’s a number of 8.0 or 8.5. Those nine starts have averaged a combined 13.0 runs scored per game. Despite being held scoreless on Thursday, Texas has still averaged a healthy 5.0 runs per game during their previous seven overall.

Justin Verlander is 0-6 in his home team starts in 2014 with a large 6.34 ERA, and five of those six went over the total. The Tigers have averaged 6.6 runs per game, possessed a robust .313 team batting average, and have an outstanding .866 OPS during their previous seven contests. Detroit is 37-22 over the total this season when the number is 8.0 or 8.5.

This game has many signs that lead me to believe a lot of runs will be scored. According to MLB odds board at BetCris they’ll be getting my call pertaining to this wager.

MLB Picks: Play on the Rangers and Tigers Over 8.5 (-115).
