Ok, that’s it. I won’t fall into the Freddie Freeman in Coors Field trap every again! Furthermore, since we have lost two in a row after winning our previous three, I’m not losing this momentum. Therefore, it is tiem to bring back every sportsbook’s worst nightmare, the rage cash!

Paul Goldschmidt vs. Miguel Sano - More runs, hits and RBI?

On the surface, both of these guys have tough matchups tonight as the Diamondbacks and Twins meet. Paul Goldschmidt has been confirmed as the starting first baseman and cleanup man for the Dbacks tonight, but if Sano is also starting, I think Goldy is going to outhit the Twins’ third baseman.

For starters, Sano is up against Zack Godley, who I have spoken high on before. Godlet has a sub-three ERA this season and he has been a monster against right-handed batters when he gets to play away from his launching pad of a home stadium.

Righties have just a .250 wBA ad .219 batting average over 120 batters faced this season when Godley is pitching on the road, and overall against righties he has them at a .267 wOBA and a strikeout rate of more than 25 percent.

The dude has an arsenal of nasty pitches, and when you look across from him at Goldschmidt, you see a matchup against Ervin Santana that is beatable. Even though Goldschmidt is hitless in nine career plate appearances against Santana, they have not faced one another since 2014.

On top of that, Sano has cooled quickly from his otherwise hot month of August. He is hitless in his last nine at bats, while Goldschmidt is 20-for-59 (.339) in August with seven dingers. Go with the chalk and go with the Gold tonight as our MLB Pick.
