Our MLB handicapping professional shares his two top money line underdogs on Saturday night’s card. Go inside to find out why he likes this pair of handsome rate of return MLB picks.

Milwaukee Brewers (Garza) vs. Arizona  Diamondbacks (Corbin)
Milwaukee has gone a terrible 27-45 (.375) this season when facing right-handed starting pitcher. Conversely, the Brewers are a more than respectable 21-14 (.600) when facing southpaw starters like they’ll be encountering this evening. Matt Garza has endured a very disappointing season to this point. Nevertheless, he’s coming off two solid outings in his previous two starts, posting a 3.27 ERA, and the Brewers won both of those games.

Southpaw Pat Corbin will be on the mound for Arizona tonight. Corbin has gone 0-5 in his last five starts, compiling a lousy 7.66 ERA and mammoth 2.07 WHIP during that course of time. He doesn’t figure to get much assistance from his bullpen. Arizona relievers have a combined 10.72 ERA over their preceding seven games.

Arizona is coming off a 3-2 win over Milwaukee last night. Nonetheless, they’re 8-25 in its last thirty-three games overall, 18-38 at home this season, and have gone 1-8 during their prior nine games following a win. Those pathetic records hardly bode well for a team that’s a money line favorite. I’ll be taking the road underdog in this game for one of my Saturday MLB picks.

Minnesota Twins (Berrios) vs. Tampa Bay Rays (Archer)
You may be surprised to know, Minnesota has gone a stellar 19-11 since returning from the all-star break, and that includes a 7-2 run over its last nine games. The Twins bats have been booming of late, evidenced by them averaging a robust 7.7 runs scored per game, and collecting an extremely impressive .950 OPS over its prior seven contests.

Current MLB betting odds at Wagerweb.com indicates that the Rays are a -144 money line favorite today. Tampa Bay has been anything but a good bet as a money line favorite in 2016. As a matter of fact, the Rays are a miserable 10-18 when installed as a money line favorite of -125 to -175 this year. Hypothetically, if you wagered to win $100 on Tampa Bay in each one of those twenty-eight games, it would’ve resulted in a loss of $1410.

Tampa Bay is coming off a 6-2 loss to Minnesota last night, and will rely on their ace Chris Archer to stop the bleeding. Archer has certainly been superb during his recent outings. However, he’s gone a terrible 1-11 in his team starts this season following a Rays loss in their previous game. Archer is also 0-6 in his 2016 team starts when facing AL Central teams.
