MLB Betting: A Trio Of Underdog MLB Picks To Cash On Friday

Friday, June 10, 2016 2:00 PM GMT

Our MLB handicapper is currently at 23-14 (62%) with his last 37 dog picks. Go inside to read his article which includes three underdogs that can be utilized for your MLB picks.

Orioles (Gausman) vs. Blue Jays (Estrada)
It would be difficult to make a case against Toronto starting pitcher Marco Estrada, and I’m not attempting to do so. This pick is more based on true betting value above all other factors.

The Orioles enter tonight on a five game win streak, and are also a red-hot 8-1 over its last nine games. During their previous seven games, Baltimore has smacked 13 home runs, and compiled a superb .491 slugging percentage. Kevin Gausman has gone 3-0 in his team starts versus Toronto since 2014, and posted a stellar 1.89 ERA in those outings.

Toronto’s bullpen has struggled mightily over their last seven games, evidenced by a 5.82 ERA and 1.94 WHIP as a staff.
There’s just too much underdog betting value to pass on in this spot, and one of my Friday MLB Picks will clearly indicate as such.

Astros (McCullers) vs. Rays (Andriese)
The Rays are 5-1 in their last six games, 10-4 versus Houston since 2014, and that includes 6-1 at home against the Astros. The Rays have launched 13 home runs, and also possess a powerful .458 slugging percentage during its last seven games. Rays starter Matt Andriese has a sparkling 2.52 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in six starts this year.

Houston has gone 4-1 in 2016 when Lance McCullers has been their starting pitcher. However, that’s a bit deceiving since McCullers has a lofty 1.66 WHIP in those outings, and exhibited serious control problems.

Marlins (Nicolino) vs. Arizona (Corbin)
Southpaw Pat Corbin is an awful 0-5 in his 2016 team starts at home while posting a large 7.94 ERA. He’ll be facing a Marlins team tonight which has gone 8-3 this season versus southpaw starters. Corbin isn’t the only one who’s struggled at home. Arizona has gone a futile 10-22 (.313) at Chase Field to begin the year.

Current MLB Odds has Arizona as a -143 money line favorite. The Diamondbacks are an anemic 1-7 in 2016 as a money line home favorite of -125 to -175. Miami has more than held its own on the road thus far, going 17-13 (.567) when cast into that role. The Marlins have gone an extremely profitable 13-5 this year as a money line road underdog of +100 or more.

Miami starting pitcher Justin Nicolino has been solid in three road starts, posting a respectable 3.57 ERA and 1.30 WHIP during those appearances. The road team gets the nod in this National League matchup.
