Ross Benjamin shares his MLB betting odds expertise to analyze two MLB starting pitching matchups on Sunday. Read his professional take in this regard, and utilize it for your sports betting today.

Toronto Blue Jays (Dickey) vs. Tampa Bay (Price) 1:40 PM ET
The Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey is coming off a terrific road start versus a red-hot hitting Angels team this past Tuesday, influencing the  MLB odds. In that outing the Toronto hurler tossed 7.0 innings of scoreless baseball, allowed 4-hits, struck out 5, and walked 1. Despite that stellar outing, he's gone just 2-7 against the money line on the road this season. Dickey is 1-3 against the money line in his last 4-starts versus Tampa Bay while posting a lofty 5.68 ERA, and allowing 6 home runs in just 25 1/3 innings of work. Dickey has seen 11 of his 12-starts in day games stay under the total during the last 2-seasons.

The Rays starter David Price is in superb form over his last 3-starts posting an excellent 1.87 ERA, a 0.96 WHIP, and going 3-0 against the money line. Price has gone a perfect 6-0 against the money line in his last 6-starts versus Toronto, and 5 of those 6 went over the total. Price has seen 19 of his 25 career starts in home day games go under the total.

Advantage: My clear choice here for my free MLB pick goes to David Price over R.A. Dickey.

San Diego Padres (Ross) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Ryu) 4:10 PM ET
The Padres starter Tyson Ross has gone a perfect 4-0 against the money line in day games this season, with an excellent 0.93 ERA, and a better than 5:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Ross has displayed terrific form over his last 3-starts posting a stellar 1.64 ERA, a 0.68 WHIP, and struck out 22 while walking just 1. As a matter of fact Ross has seen his last 9, and 11 of his last 12-starts go under the total. The only red flag with Ross is that he's been much better at home than on the road this season. In 7 road starts he's posted a lofty 1.52 WHIP.  The Padres right-hander has gone 3-1 in his career against the money line versus the Dodgers, with a very good 2.91 ERA, and all 4 of those starts have come since 2013.

The Dodgers starter Hyun-Jin Ryu is coming off a horrible start last Tuesday at Detroit. The southpaw allowed 7 earned runs, 10-hits, and walked 2 in a 14-5 Dodgers loss. Ryu has gone an extremely profitable 18-5 against the money line the last 2-seasons versus an opponent with a losing record. He's also been dominant in 3 career starts versus the Padres posting a microscopic 0.93 ERA, and all 3 outings have come since 2013.

Advantage: I view this starting pitching matchup to be a toss up with all things considered. My lean here for sports betting purposes is for this game to be a low scoring affair.
