The Cleveland Indians took care of business at home but things are about to get much more difficult for them as they travel to Toronto. Both teams combined have only managed five runs in two games yet oddsmakers have come out with a pretty big total for game three. Will we see more of an offensive outburst north of the border? Read this article to select the best MLB pick.

MLB playoff record: 4-4-1

Cleveland Indians

Trevor Bauer gets the start for Cleveland and comes in with a 4.26 ERA and 1.31 whip on the season while allowing three earned runs in his only postseason appearance. In his one postseason game against the Red Sox, he was sufficient enough to get Cleveland a win however he did allow six hits in just over four innings of work. On the season he is been good on the road with a 3.67 ERA and batters hitting .248 against him. Against Toronto, he has been really good this season in two appearances allowing just two earned runs off of seven hits in 13 innings of work. Still, I don't think the third time is going to be a charm for him despite the Blue Jays recent offensive struggle this is a Toronto team that can flat out mash at home. Look for the Blue Jays, who have had opportunities to score more like in game one, to take advantage of being at home and push quite a few across the plate.

Toronto Blue Jays

Marcus Stroman takes the mound for the Blue Jays and comes in with a 4.37 ERA and 1.29 whip but allowed just two earned runs off of four hits in six innings in his lone postseason appearance. Stroman was excellent versus Baltimore beating the Orioles 5-2 and over his last 10 starts he has been decent although the Blue Jays haven't won much while he's been on the mound. In the latter part of the second half of the season he was really solid in his last 13 starts allowing 27 earned runs in over 70 innings of work, so on that statistic alone this total seems a bit off. Still, he is not immune to getting knocked around a little bit and his home ERA is 4.59 on the season. Like Bauer, against his opponent Cleveland this year he has been really good allowing just two earned runs off of 12 hits in 14 innings over two starts. Although Cleveland hasn't done much off of him this season they've been pretty consistent in putting up runs throughout the playoffs, and I expect them to do so again today.

MLB odds

Oddsmakers have set the total for this game at 9 at most places across the board. Considering how these two have pitched against these particular teams it seems a bit high but for my MLB pick, I'm going to back over the total with a little bit of better value going that way like at 5 Dimes, where you can get a 50% Free Play Bonus, at +110. Look for this game to be much different than the first two.
