Last night we swept again in our MLB picks, making it four consecutive winners over the last two nights. Let’s review the MLB slate and cash two more on Thursday night!

Dodgers (20-14, -1.4 units) vs. Rockies (22-13, +11.2 units)
  • Colorado is 16-8 (+9.9 Units) against division opponents this season.

  • Colorado is 8-3 (+7.7 units) against left-handed starters this season.

  • Colorado is 11-4 (+7.9 units) after shutting out their opponent over the last three seasons.

  • Los Angeles is 4-15 (-20.4 Units) in road games after three or more consecutive wins over the last three seasons.

  • Los Angeles is 9-22 (-13.7 Units) on the road when the line is +125 to -125 over the last two seasons.

  • Los Angeles is 86-99 (-43.9 units) on the road over the last three seasons.

After reviewing the MLB odds, we feel we are getting plenty of value with the home team here. The Dodgers have reeled off five straight wins while the Rockies have emerged victorious in six of their last eight. Colorado is 12-9 (+6.3 units) versus LA over the last three seasons and the Dodgers’ starter Hyun-Jin Ryu has an 0-3 record with a 4.11 ERA and 1.37 WHIP on the road this season. The Rockies are poised to snap Big Blue’s streak and we are prepared to cash because of it.

Padres (13-22, -5.8 units) vs. Rangers (15-20, -5.4 units)
  • Texas is 52-31 (+22.0 Units) when the total is 9 to 9.5 over the last two seasons.

  • Texas is 40-28 (+23.2 Units) in May games over the last three seasons.

  • Texas is 81-61 (+21.7 Units) in night games over the last two seasons.

  • Texas is 63-46 (+16.4 Units) after a win over the last two seasons.

  • San Diego is 12-34 (-19.4 Units) in road games when playing against a team with a losing record over the last two seasons.

  • San Diego is 2-7 (-3.8 units) as a road underdog of +125 to +175 this season.

  • San Diego is 6-13 (-4.6 units) on the road this season.

  • San Diego is 14-29 (-11.7 units) in inter-league games over the last three seasons.

Texas has taken two straight from San Diego and will be working on a third tonight as they send 26-year-old Martin Perez to the hill after holding the Mariners to two earned runs in six full innings of work, which ultimately resulted in an 8-2 loss. The Padres will give the ball to Clayton Richard who has gotten tagged in two of his last three outings. The veteran southpaw melted in the desert against the Diamondbacks back on April 25th when he lasted just three-plus innings and surrendered six earned runs in a 9-3 loss. He rebounded with a solid performance against the Giants but was then rocked for five runs against the Dodgers in a 10-2 setback. Richard has faced the Rangers just once in his career and has a 9.00 ERA with a WHIP of 2.00. Let’s back the home chalk in our MLB picks in this one.
