We cashed both our picks yesterday which makes it four consecutive winners over the last two nights. Mining the Diamond is poised to unearth some more gems on the MLB odds board and deliver another pair of winners on Saturday.

Dodgers (8-9, -5.8 units) vs. Diamondbacks(11-7, +6.6 units)

* Arizona is 5-1 (+5 units) when the total is between 9 to 9.5.

* Arizona is 7-1 (+7.6 Units) in home games this season.

* Arizona is 5-0 (+5.6 units) at home when the money line is between +125 to -125.

* Los Angeles is 3-6 (-5.6 units) against left-handed starters.

* Los Angeles is 81-96 (-45.1 units) on the road over the last three seasons.

* Los Angeles is 23-39 (-18.7 units) on the road when the money line is between +125 to -125.

They say there's nothing sweeter than a repeater and with that we will go back to the same well that quenched out thirst last night for a winner in our MLB picks. Yes, the D-Backs were one of two winners for us on the evening and they rallied in the eighth inning to blow the game wide open and defeat the favored Dodgers 13-5. The Snakes will not only have home field advantage but own a favorable pitching matchup with southpaw Robbie Ray (1-0, 1.96 ERA, 1.20 WHIP) dazzling thus far this season against a struggling Japanese import in Kenta Maeda (1-1, 7.07 ERA, 1.36 WHIP). Look for Big Blue to get snake-bitten and the D-Backs to come away winners again tonight.

Giants (6-11, -8.4 units) vs. Rockies (11-6, +6.1 units)

* Colorado is 5-1 (+6.3 units) against left-handed starters this season.

* Colorado is 4-1 (+3.9 units) against the Giants this season.

* Colorado is 24-19 (+8.2 Units) against the Giants over the last three seasons

* San Francisco is 3-8 (-7.8 units) against right-handed starters this season.

* San Francisco is 5-10 (-8.2 units) against division opponents this season.

* San Francisco's starter Matt Moore is 5-14 (-10.1 Units) in night games over the last two seasons. (Team's Record).

The Giants have, for the last several years, tied with the LA Dodgers for NL West supremacy while the Rockies have perennially fielded sub .500 clubs. But things could very well be changing as Colorado suddenly finds itself in the unusual position atop the division while the Giants are not only reeling after dropping four of their last five but just lost one of their premier starters, Madison Bumgarner, for 6-8 weeks. In addition, San Francisco starter Matt Ryan has gotten tagged when playing Colorado as evidenced by his is 1-2 record as well as his bloated 6.85 ERA and 1.856 WHIP. Conversely, the 22-year-old Rockies' starter Antonio Senzatela (2-0, 2.37 ERA, 0.95 WHIP) has pitched as well as one could ask for a back-of-the-rotation guy. Colorado is simply the better team at this juncture and we will happily lay the small price the MLB odds makers are dealing.
