We made it look easy Sunday as the Cubs and Nationals cruised to victories and outscored their respective opponents by a combined 22-4 margin. Let’s review the MLB odds for Monday's action and keep cashing those tickets!

Rays (49-44, +5.6 Units) At Athletics (42-50, -5.4 Units)
  • Oakland is 15-8 (+9.1 Units) in home games after a win this season.
  • Oakland is 3-0 (+4.2 Units) when playing against a team with a winning record in the second half of the season.
  • Oakland is 19-14 (+5.0 Units) at home when the money line is +125 to -125 this season.
  • Tampa Bay is 26-26 (-3.4 Units) when playing against a team with a losing record this season.
  • Tampa Bay is 12-16 (-4.0 Units) on the road when the money line is +125 to -125 this season.
  • Tampa Bay’s starter Jake Odorizzi’s team record is 0-4 (-4.7 Units) when starting against the Athletics with an ERA of 3.97 and a WHIP of 1.147.

The money is slowly trending on the Athletics as they opened as +104 home dogs and are now as high as -107 in some shops. Not a tremendous shift in the MLB odds but just enough of an inkling to suggest we are on the right side in this one. Tampa’s starter Jake Odorizzi has had no luck against the A’s in the past, and we suspect the results will be the same as the Rays are touching down in Oakland at to meet an Athletics squad that has won three straight and seven of their last nine. Back the A’s in your MLB picks tonight.

Indians (47-43, -23.0 Units) At Giants (35-58, -26.4 Units)
  • San Francisco is 22-40 (-22.6 Units) against right-handed starters this season.
  • San Francisco is 17-24 (-10.8 Units) in home games this season.
  • San Francisco is 23-34 (-12.3 Units) after a loss this season.
  • Cleveland is 11-6 (+2.6 Units) on the road when the total is 8 to 8.5 this season.
  • Cleveland is 5-1 (+4.0 Units) after three or more consecutive losses this season.
  • Cleveland is 38-22 (+13.4 Units) on the road when the total is 8 to 8.5 over the last two seasons.

The Indians have been struggling recently, having dropped their last four after winning three straight, but the Giants have been floundering all season long so their 1-6 record over their last seven games is hardly a surprise. Let’s take a look at the pitching matchup for this one.

  • San Francisco’s starter Matt Moore is 7-21 (-14.9 Units) in night games over the last two seasons.
  • San Francisco’s starter Matt Moore is 0-2 with a 7.43 ERA and a 2.40 WHIP over his last three games.
  • Cleveland’s starter Josh Tomlin’s team record is 21-7 (+14.4 Units) when the total is 8 to 8.5 over the last two seasons.
  • Cleveland’s starter Josh Tomlin’s team record is 10-3 (+8.5 Units) on the road when the total is 8 to 8.5 over the last two seasons.
  • Cleveland’s starter Josh Tomlin’s team record is 11-3 (+9.8 Units) in road games after a loss over the last three seasons.

The moon and the stars are aligning for a Cleveland victory. Back the Tribe tonight!
