It's the last matchup of the 3-game set between the Giants-Mets and our expert handicapper is here to share with you his MLB picks so you can win big tonight!

San Francisco Giants (Lincecum) vs. NY Mets (Niese) 7:10 ET
The San Francisco Giants and NY Mets conclude their early week, 3-game set with a 7:10 ET start.  The Giants have won the first two games of this series with a no-hitter from Heston on Wednesday night, followed by an 8 run outburst on Wednesday, as they chased Mets' ace, Harvey.  Expect a sweep tonight, as the Giants have clearly the best of it in the hitting department and in this matchup an advantage on the mound as well.

The Mets stand 31-29, courtesy of an 11-0 early season run on this field.  Otherwise, this is a 20-29 team who stands just 10-10 on this field, if you exclude that streak.  They have proven in this series that their overall 21-10 home record continues to be a bit of a mirage.  Today's starter for the Mets, Niese, has been highly disappointing this season.  NY has won just 3 of his 11 starts, as Niese has recorded a personal 3-6 record with a 4.43 ERA and a bloated WHIP of 1.54.  He simply is not pitching with as much confidence as in previous seasons.  There is no reason to believe he will break out of his funk against a hot hitting San Francisco team.

San Francisco has alternated World Series Championships in each of the last 5 years.  With a 9-13 start to the season, it appeared they were again going to slump after capturing the World Series crown late last October.  But, the Giants quickly turned things around with a 21-7 burst in the month of May.  After a brief nosedive, San Fran has responded with a recent 4-1 run, including consecutive victories against these Mets.  Tonight's starter, Lincecum, is undergoing a revival.  Early in his career, Tiny Tim relied on his intensity and his fastball to dominate the opposition.  After a pair of down seasons, an aging Lincecum came to the realization that he would need to rebuild his style.  Now a pitcher, rather than a thrower, Lincecum is having a solid bounce back season with a record of 6-3 and a 3.29 ERA.  The very quiet Mets' bats could very easily go quiet once again tonight.

In fact, we will bank on that happening, as a reborn Lincecum continues his upsurge against Mets' starter, Niese, who is clearly having a down season.  With the Giants playing with positive momentum and the Mets' fortunes returning to the norm at home, we confidently back the San Fran Giants to complete the 3-game sweep with our MLB picks.
