The 2015 Major League Baseball season continues on Sunday with a full slate of 15 games on the card. Here are the three MLB betting selections we’ll look at this weekend:

Los Angeles Angels vs. Baltimore Orioles
The pitching matchup here is one of the better ones on Sunday. Garrett Richards has a 2.27 ERA. He’s allowed only one run in each of his last three starts, and allowed only two runs the start before that. He has not allowed a home run in any of those starts, and in his most recent start, he struck out 10 hitters in 6 2/3 innings. Richards is showing the gitty-up on his pitches which makes him so tough to deal with. His velocity and movement make him a tough matchup for everyone in baseball. The Orioles counter with Ubaldo Jimenez. He has a 2.41 ERA, right on par with Richards. He’s given up a total of nine earned runs all season long. He’s pitched three partial shutouts. His last game was a solid one, a seven-inning, six-hit, two-run performance against Toronto on May 11. This is such an even matchup, but with both pitchers dealing, go under with your MLB picks as listed on the MLB betting odds.

New York Yankees vs. Kansas City Royals
Chris Capuano is the starter for New York. He will be making his first start of the 2015 season in this game after coming off the disabled list due to a quadriceps injury. His career ERA is 4.28, and his best years are behind him. Yet, he was good in spots for the Yankees last season. He’s the kind of pitcher who can take advantage of hitters if he gets them to dive at his sinker and other pitches designed to be out of the strike zone. The Royals go with Edinson Volquez, a veteran of several teams who is spending his first season in Kansas City this year. Volquez hasn’t been great lately, giving up four runs in his most recent start on May 12 – he lasted only five innings in that outing against Texas. However, Volquez totes a 3.19 ERA into this game. That’s very solid in the American League. Both of these pitchers are ultimately question marks, but Capuano is much more of a question mark than Volquez. Take Kansas City, then, at home.

MLB Pick: Kansas City at WagerWeb

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs
A.J. Burnett is the starter for Pittsburgh. Burnett, a longtime major-league veteran, has been brilliant this season. He has a 1.60 ERA. He’s never allowed more than two runs in any game this year. He’s been a machine, and he’s gone at least six innings in six of his seven starts this season. That’s a high standard. Chicago has Jake Arrieta on the hill. He has an ERA of 3.00. He had a great start on May 12 against the Mets, going eight innings and giving up one run. However, in his previous two starts, he allowed at least four runs and didn’t get out of the sixth inning either time. Arrieta is good, Burnett is better but either way, this should be a low-scoring game. Go under with your MLB picks.
