With the rain forecasted for much of the East Coast, domed stadiums could play a role in who we chose. Here are some top rated MLB Picks of the Day as we've been doing well as of late.

Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Jake Arrieta Looks To Stay Undefeated
This game should stay out of the "zone of precipitation" as Jake Arrieta is pitching the best baseball that you're ever going to see a pitcher pitch since the mid- part of last season. Thus far this season, Arrieta is 5-0 with a 1.00 ERA. With all of the positives, Arrieta managed to escape damage in his last start in a 7-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Several times Arrieta left men on base, but managed to avoid trouble The numbers say that he only allowed 1 run in 5 innings pitcher, but he was wild and it certainly was one of his worst outing in a long time and he still won.

Aside from getting out of trouble, Arrieta can thank the Cubs offense.  At 18-6, this team is rolling, but facing the Pirates (15-11) on the road will be a steep chalenge.

Man On a Mission
We hear a lot of names such Trout, Harper, and Betts, but one player that I don't hear a lot of and has a shot at NL MVP if he played this way all season is Dexter Fowler. The one number that sticks out to me regarding Fowler is his .476 OBP%. This is pretty much saying that he get's on base 1 out of 2 times and that's amazing.

Fowler has 3 HR, 15 RBI, and a ,357 BA. He also leads the Cubs in 11 doubles, 30 hits, and 21 runs. This is a team with Kris Bryant (4 HR, 16 RBI, .289 BA) and power hitter, Anthony RIzzo, who have played rather well as they put fear into the eyes of opposing pitchers.

Chicago is simply unstoppable and good pitching wins baseball games. Arrieta is the #1 pitcher in baseball as of now. Cubbies are the NBA pick; no question.

New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles

O's Are Just a -112 Favorite?
Odds makers should reassess that as the Yankees are sitting in the basement and playing the worst baseball that I've seen them play in a couple of decades. Of course, it's still early in the season and the Yanks are just 8-15, but this team is laced with old, overpriced players. I made a bundle piggybacking the Yankees last season, but this season, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Lou Severino Gets the Start
I'm thinking NBA odds makers are favoring the Bombers because Severino had such a successful season last year. This season is a different story as he's 0-3 with a 6.86 ERA. You back that up with an anemic Yankees offense and the Yankees are in trouble. We also need to mention that this game (weather permitting) will be played at Camden Yards and this is a place where guys like Manny Machado (7 HR, 16 RBI, .350 BA) and Crush Davis (7 HR, 17 RBI, .236 BA) can tee off.

Baltimore has calmed down as of late, losing theie last two game and are currently 14-10 on the season, but they do excel at Camden Yards, winning 9 of 12 games at home. The odds play a large role here. Take the O's as a gift.
