Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides a look at MLB Overnight Betting Lines for the games taking place on Tuesday, and has two great MLB Picks for you.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves
Runs could be at a premium in this matchup between the Brewers and Braves on Tuesday night. Jimmy Nelson has been one of the brightest lights in the Milwaukee rotation this season as he’s turned in six quality starts so far this season and is holding opponents to a .221 batting average. He limited the Cubs to five hits in 7.1 strong shutout innings last Wednesday.

Nelson has held opponents to two earned runs or less in seven of his first nine outings for an overall 3.07 ERA. He only allowed 2 runs in nearly 6 innings of work against Atlanta last season here at Turner Field and should match up well against an Atlanta team that has scored 3 runs or less in 4 of their last 5 games.

On the flip side, Julio Teheran has been dominant in his last six starts allowing 2 runs or less in each outing and has allowed just a single run in 16 innings of work over a pair of starts against the Milwaukee Brewers here at Turner Field since 2014. You can find a 7.5 on the total at Bookmaker/CRIS although the total is 7 in most places and that is the way I will look to bet this MLB pick.

Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners
I successfully recommended a winning bet against Kendall Graveman in his last start which was another loss this time to the NY Yankees and he remains on the bet against radar for me as he takes the mound on Tuesday against the surging Seattle Mariners. Seattle is 5-1 in their last 6 games with their offense coming alive in recent games while also getting solid starting pitching including from the likes of their starter in this game Nathan Karns who has a 3.33 ERA this season and an even better 2.55 ERA in his last three starts allowing 5 runs in his last 17.2 innings of work.

His FIP and xFIP are right in line with that ERA showing his performance to this point has been fairly legitimate. Seattle has also been winning with Karns on the mound taking a 6-2 record in Karns 8 starts this season into this game. On the flip side, Graveman continues to labor as he has a 7.71 ERA in his last three starts and a 7.91 ERA on the road overall in 4 starts.

Oakland is just 1-7 in Graveman’s 8 starts this season and making matters worse is the fact the Athletics lineup simply is not hitting right now scoring just 9 runs in four games combined during their weekend series against the NY Yankees losing all four games. This is a bit of a higher price than I normally like to lay but Seattle warrants the significant home chalk price tag on the MLB odds in this game.
