Corey Kluber may start as a home underdog for the first time during the 2014 season, which gives the Cleveland Indians incredible value against the Seattle Mariners Wednesday.

It Starts with Four
Seattle improved to 39-10 when scoring four or more runs this year, which is important to consider when making your MLB betting picks in this matchup, as it comes off a 5-2 victory over Cleveland as +106 underdogs Tuesday.

It’s still important to point out that the Mariners are 4-7 since the All-Star break, with five of those setbacks coming by a single run.

Sports bettors will want to keep a close eye on any movement in the MLB betting odds before the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. ET at Progressive field, as the club is a dominating 9-2 on the road with a money line of -100 to -125.

A Key Stretch
Cleveland is still worth backing in the futures market to capture the American League Central division, as it currently has the highest number of home games remaining in baseball—posting a 29-20 record in front of its fan base.

Carlos Santana has really flourished since Indians manager settled on him being the primary first baseman, as he’s hitting .335 in 44 games at the position, which is far better than his .129 mark at third and 3-for-34 performance at the plate when catching.

MLB handicappers will find that the franchise has won three of four games at home with a total of seven or less, with the OVER cashing in all but one of those affairs.

Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez (11-2, 1.99 ERA) has established an AL record with 13 consecutive outings of seven or more innings and allowing two or fewer runs, but he hasn’t factor into the decision in three of his last four trips to the mound.

The right-hander is 4-0 with a 1.88 ERA in 11 road appearances—issuing 15 walks and striking out 89 batters in 76.2 combined frames.

Hernandez has tallied a disappointing 3-5 record and 4.50 ERA in nine lifetime starts at this ballpark.

Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber (10-6, 2.77 ERA) will be pitching on five days’ rest after flirting with a perfect game in his last effort, but he didn’t earn a decision in a 2-1 road defeat to the Kansas City Royals.

The right-hander is 5-2 with a 3.01 ERA in 10 home games, as he prepares to potentially take the mound at this venue as an underdog for the first time this season.

Kluber will be facing the Mariners for the first time in his career.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Indians as one of their MLB betting picks, as the Mariners have fallen in defeat in four of Hernandez’ last five road starts in this series.
