Sunday provides a full slate of opportunity in the MLB with some very important games. We're going to pick apart a couple of these games and provide the betting public with our MLB PIcks of the Day as we see that there's profit to be made.

Kansas City Royals vs Boston Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox are coming off a much-needed win over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday, breaking a 3 game losing streak and are now just 1 game behind the AL East Division leading Toronto Blue Jays. Boston's bats will need to be in full force on Sunday as Eduardo Rodriguez (2-5 ,5.11 ERA ) get's the start and he'll square off against Yordano Ventura (9-9, 4.27 ERA) in a very unpredictable starting pitching matchup.

Although having poor seasons, both pitchers are coming off of strong pitching efforts, but Rodriguez hasn't pitched since August 16th and he only pitched 4 innings. Boston will have their work cut out for them as the moderate betting favorite, according to Pinnacle Sportsbook.

A Much Needed "W"
The Red Sox offense has been inconsistent as of late, but overall they possess the best offense in the division and one of the best in baseball. They're coming off of a much needed 8-3 victory over K.C. in which some key players had big games.

Veteran, Dustin Pedroia, is possibly having his best season in his illustrious career. After a 4 for 5 effort yesterday, Pedroia is hitting .320. This is a player that is one of the leaders of the team and it doesn't always show up in the statistics, but this year Pedroia's stats are superb. A player can't get any hotter. In Pedroia's last 4 games, he's a sizzling 13 for 17! This has raised his average 14 points and I expect him to keep playing well.

Xander Bogaerts is another player playing outstanding baseball recently. He's 5 for his last 9 at-bats with 2 runs, a double, 1 HR and 3 RBI. For the season, Bogaerts is hitting .310 with 16 HR and 74 RBI. You add in Big Papi, Hanley Ramirez, and Jackie Bradley Jr. and this lineup are simply loaded. The Royals offense can't compete with the Red Sox lineup that will take the field at Fenway Park Sunday Night. Look for Boston to keep the momentum going as each game is of utter importance. Make Boston your MLB pick.

Chicago Cubs vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers (72-57) picked up a much needed 3-2 victory against the Cubbies yesterday as the Dodgers have the San Francisco Giants hot on their heels, just 2 games behind the NL West Division-leading Dodgers. This afternoon, not only will the Dodgers have to face the top team in the MLB again, but they'll have to face Jon Lester (14-4, 2.81 ERA) and that's no easy task as Lester has had an outstanding season and been a major reason why the Cubs are 82-46. The Cubs are the betting favorite according to Pinnacle Sportsbook and for good reason.

Living Up To Expectations
When Kris Bryant broke into the majors, people and scouts thought that he would be an instant superstar on the same level as Mike Trout. Although he had a solid rookie season, Bryant didn't quite reach that level, but in 2016, he's been a flat out beast along with the help of slugger, Anthony Rizzo.

For the season, Bryant leads the Chicago Cubs with 35 HR, 89 RBI, and a .303 BA. He also carries an OBP% of .395. Mark my words on this; as long as Kris Bryant is a member of the Chicago Cubs, they will eventually break their drought of not winning a World Series in over 100 years. Bryant has been on fire in the month of August with a .376 batting average to go along with 9 HR and 21 RBI. This is his 2nd season and he's only going to get better.

What makes the Chicago Cubs the best team in baseball is their outstanding combination of pitching and hitting. They simply can't be defeated when they're at their best and this afternoon's game is a great indication of why the Cubs are so good. One day they send Jake Arrieta to the mound and the next day it's Jon Lester. Look for Lester and the Cubs to outclass the less talented Los Angeles Dodgers on the road.
