Toronto stunned Boston Friday night with a big comeback. Do we back the Jays today with our free MLB pick? Or can the Sox regroup 12 hours after a tough loss?

Jays-Sox Saturday Betting Odds
As of early Saturday morning the best line we could find on Boston and Clay Buchholz was the -129 offered at 5Dimes, while Heritage was giving Toronto and knuckle-baller RA Dickey +126. And most books were listing the total on today's game at nine runs.

The Situation
Toronto took the opener of this series Friday night 13-10, rallying from an 8-1 deficit with three runs in the fifth inning and nine in the seventh, extending its winning streak to nine games.

At 32-30 the Blue Jays have pulled to within two games of the lead in the AL East, while at 27-35 Boston has fallen seven games off the pace.

Toronto now leads this season series four games to three.

Saturday's Starters
Buchholz (4-8. 4.08) just had a run of four straight quality starts snapped when Oakland got him for four runs and 10 hits in less than five innings of a game Boston eventually won last Sunday 7-4. Prior to that Bucky had held foes to five ER through his previous 30 1/3 innings. The Sox are just 4-8 in games Buchholz has started this season, but that isn't all his fault, considering some of the scores they've lost by.

In a partial tribute to what Buchholz has been up to, the UNDERS are 7-4 with him this year.

Since the beginning of last season Buchholz has started eight times against Toronto, giving up 30 earned runs through 46 1/3 innings; Boston split those games 4-4, with the totals leaning OVER 5-2-1.

Dickey (2-6, 5.35) got racked up back in May, but he's been better his last couple of times out. Eleven days ago he held Washington to two runs through six innings, and last Sunday he held Houston to two runs through 5 2/3 innings. The Jays are 5-7 in Dickey's starts this year, with the totals leaning OVER 7-4.

In five starts last year against the Red Sox Dickey flustered 'em, to the tune of eight ER through 32 1/3 innings; the Jays won four of those games. But in two starts this year vs. Boston RA has been ripped for 10 runs through 13 innings of two Toronto losses.

Toronto is on a roll, and getting an underdog price. We like the Jays today. Also, Toronto is scoring runs in bunches, and Boston pitching has been generous as of late. So we're thinking OVER for our MLB picks.
