The Dodgers' 6-game win streak ended with a thud in Game 1 vs. the Cubs, but LA is big chalk on Saturday's baseball betting card to jump right back into the win column.

Some of Friday night's regular late-arriving crowd at Dodger Stadium took their seats with Game 1 of the series against the Chicago Cubs already decided. Chicago built an early 4-1 lead behind a 13-hit attack and the pitching of rookie Kyle Hendricks, while Los Angeles never could mount any offense to see a 6-game win streak snapped.

The Dodgers now try to begin a new run of dubyas in the final game on Saturday's MLB odds board, a 9:10 PM (ET) start that features an all-Asian, double-southpaw duel on the mound. Chicago sends Tsuyoshi Wada to the bump at Chavez Ravine while LA counters with Hyun-Jin Ryu, and backing the Dodgers will cost bettors about $2, a few pennies higher at some sportsbooks.

Wagering on the total means a decision on a 7 run tally that is priced to the high side at all shops charted on SBR's live baseball odds.

Ryu Looks To Extend Win Streak To 4
Wada didn't make the splash from Japan to the big leagues as so many of his fellow Japanese imports have, the arm surgery he required very early after defecting to MLB in 2012 a big reason why. And there's no reason to expect the 33-year-old to evolve into much more than a back-of-the-rotation guy going forward.

Still, he has proven to be very deceptive this year in the minors and his first three starts in the bigs. the most recent a solid performance at Wrigley Field on Tuesday when he limited the Rockies to five hits and a run over seven innings.

Ryu, on the other hand, could be the ace of many staffs this season, the fact he's part of a star-studded rotation in LA keeping him somewhat under the radar. The 27-year-old Korean has won his last three starts, and beat the Cubs in Wrigley exactly one year ago in his only appearance against them so far.

Umpire Notes, Final Thoughts & A Free Pick
If you are a fan of the 'under,' then hopefully you've been getting action down on games that find Tony Randazzo working the plate. Ten of his 11 contests behind the mask have failed to reach the scoreboard mark, though it should be noted the lone 'over' on his card did take place at Dodger Stadium just before the All-Star Game.

We have to give some credit to Chicago in Friday's series opener, but we also have to lay some of the burden in the 8-2 final on Los Angeles starter Dan Haren. After being pushed back several days in the Dodger rotation, the extra rest did nothing to stop his struggles that have now reached five consecutive losses with a 10+ ERA.

Ryu should present a tougher opponent for Cubs hitters tonight, however, and with this being the first time for LA hitters to see Wada, I'm giving the edge to both hurlers this evening with a free pick on the 'under'.
