Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides a look at MLB Overnight Betting Lines for the games taking place on Sunday, May 29.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals are a perfect 10-0 with Stephen Strasburg on the mound this season and that isn’t by accident. Strasburg has revitalized his career in 2016 after numerous seasons battling consistency and injuries with multiple stints on the DL. Strasburg is finally healthy and pitching like it with a 2.79 ERA on the season and an impressive and dominating ratio of 86 strikeouts with just 54 hits allowed in 67.2 innings pitched this season and he has a track record of pitching well against the Cardinals holding them to 3 runs or less in five previous starts against them including in a 5-4 win against St. Louis earlier this season at Busch Stadium in which he yielded just 2 runs in 7 innings.

On the flip side, Michael Wacha has endured a rocky season for St. Louis and he enters this game with a 5.04 ERA overall but has bene much worse in the shorter team allowing 20 runs on 24 hits in just 12 innings of work over his last three starts against the LA Dodgers, Colorado and the Chicago Cubs and he has averaged over 17 pitches per inning in his last four starts and into the 20’s in PPI in his last three starts which indicates he is laboring often on the mound and not having many stress free innings. His swinging strike rate has declined severely from 9.5% last season to 7.6% so far in 2016 as hitters are not swinging and missing at his stuff as much. Washington has proven to be unbeatable this season so far with Strasburg on the hill and the Nats are worth supporting once again with Strasburg on Sunday.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Cleveland Indians
Chris Tillman is probably a candidate for most improved player of the season in MLB as he has bounced back from a very rough 2015 campaign and has put together a strong season to this point with a 2.61 ERA and the Orioles have gone 8-2 in his 10 starts this season. He’s been even better in the short term with a 1.77 ERA with 4 runs allowed in 20.1 innings over his last three starts. He should have a solid chance to keep his solid run going here against Cleveland as Tillman shut down the Indians twice last season allowing just 2 runs in 13.1 innings of work over a pair of starts against them last season with Baltimore winning both games. We cashed an Over ticket against Michael Clevinger in his last start for the Cleveland Indians and he has struggled in both of his spot starts since joining the rotation allowing 10 runs in 10.1 innings against the Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati. The very capable and dangerous Baltimore Orioles lineup could be trouble for Clevinger who is not likely to pitch deep just like he has in his first two starts so the Indians very mediocre middle relief of their bullpen should get some action and offer more chances for Baltimore runs. Baltimore is worthy of betting support in this game.
