MLB prop betting takes mounds of research and combing through hours of stats to find the perfect odds. Luckily, here at Sportsbook Review we have complied a daily report of the best prop betting matchups that Saturday slate has to offer.

Mike Trout vs. Derek Holland

Mike Trout is coming off a home run in the first game of the Angels’ series against the Giants, and once again his batter versus pitcher stats are setting him up as a valuable prop selection on Saturday night. Trout and the Halos are up against Derek Holland in what could be a fine night for Trout.

Trout is a career 14-for-45 (.311) against Holland with 3 home runs, 12 RBI, and 7 extra base hits. Even though he’ll surely be chalky, Trout’s home run odds or his runs/RBI props could hold value against Holland.

Edwin Encarnacion vs. Chris Tillman

Edwin Encarnacion has started the year really cold, but once again he is faced with a matchup that he has been able to exploit in the past. Encarnacion is hitting just .145 to start 2018, but against Tillman he’s found a ton of career success.

Over 60 career at bats, Encarnacion is a .300 hitter with 4 home runs, 7 RBI, and 7 extra base hits. Encarnacion could have appealing MLB Odds to hit a home run because he’s been so cold to start this year. However, he went yard two games ago, and against Tillman in warmer weather and Camden Yards might be worth the risk. It’s supposed to be almost 60 degrees in Baltimore at first pitch, which could help the ball fly a little.

Paul Goldschmidt vs. Clayton Richard

Paul Goldschmidt doesn’t get enough credit for being the best first baseman in the majors, and tonight he should continue breaking out of his early season lull. Goldy has beaten up on the Padres’ Clayton Richard, and tonight the Diamondbacks’ righty could be a fine prop bet.

Across 36 career plate appearances against Richard, Goldschmidt 10-for-27 with a homer and 5 RBI. His 9 walks are also notable because if Goldschmidt is getting on base, his odds of scoring runs go up exponentially.

Goldschmidt is a career .333 hitter against southpaws, so look for him to be an elite level prop bet on Saturday.

Stephen Strasburg vs. Dodgers’ hitters

Stephen Strasburg has a career 28.9% strikeout rate, and the Dodgers have done a lot to help that rate. Over 106 total Dodgers batters faced, 34 have struck out against the Nationals’ right-hander. That’s a strikeout rate of 32.1%, and with the game being played in the warm weather of Dodger Stadium, that could help Strasburg even more. If his strikeout prop is reasonable, it might be a good play for a small bet on the over.

Cardinals’ hitters vs. Homer Bailey

Earlier in the season we included the Cardinals and their dominance against the Reds’ Homer Bailey, and sure enough St. Louis tagged Bailey for 3 runs and a home run from rookie Harrison Bader.

Across 160 plate appearances against Bailey, the Cardinals are hitting 58-146 (.397) with 6 home runs, 27 RBI, and 21 extra base hits. Matt Carpenter and Yadier Molina are hitting a combined .450 against Bailey between the two of them. The Cards are huge -200 favorites in the run, line, but their run total is only 4 ½ at BetOnline, and the over is looking sharp against Bailey.
