MLB prop betting takes mounds of research and combing through hours of stats to find the perfect odds. Sportsbook Review has complied a daily report of the best prop betting matchups on today's slate.

MLB: Wednesday's Gimme 5Dee Gordon (Mariners) vs. Bartolo Colon (Rangers)

The Mariners are going to have to figure some things out in the top half of their batting order. Robinson Cano has been suspended for the next 80 games due to a positive PED test, so players such as Dee Gordon are going to have to step it up. Gordon has been hot this month, hitting 18-for-54 (.333) with 4 doubles, 2 RBI, 7 runs scored, and 5 steals.

Gordon can keep his hot streak alive this afternoon against right-hander Bartolo Colon. The Rangers’ veteran has been beaten up by Gordon in the past, and that could continue. Gordon is a career 14-for-35 (.400) hitter against Colon with a homer and 4 RBI, so check out some of his prop odds.

Howie Kendrick (Nationals) vs. CC Sabathia (Yankees)

The Nationals continue their interleague series with the Yankees, and with CC Sabathia on the mound, Howie Kendrick becomes an interesting prop target for your MLB picks. Kendrick is hitting .333 in May and he comes into this one riding a seven-game hit streak.

Kendrick has knocked around Sabathia in the past. Kendrick is a career 10-for-24 (.417) hitter versus Sabathia, and while only 1 of those hits went for extra bases, there could still be value in a prop on Kendrick in this one. Either his total bases, or a prop for him to record multiple hits tonight is in play.

Justin Verlander (Astros) vs. Angels’ Batters

If there is one collective group of hitters you need to fade tonight, it’s the Angels. Los Angeles was able to get a win earlier in this series with a masterful performance from Andrew Heaney, and the Astros just might return the favor with Justin Verlander tonight.

The Angels are just 25-for-196 (.128) lifetime against Verlander. Los Angeles does have 5 home runs and 23 walks over that stretch against Verlander, but they also own a 29.7% strikeout rate versus the Astros’ right-hander.

Luis Valbuena is only 3-for-33 (.091) in his career against Verlander, but even some of the Angels’ regulars have had that much trouble too. Mike Trout, Ian Kinsler, and Kole Calhoun are a combined 8-for-80 (.100) against Verlander. Besides a couple of homers from Trout, the rest of the Angels have done very little.

There’s also another factor. Fade the Angels all day if Kate Upton is behind home plate.

Kyle Seager (Mariners) vs. Bartolo Colon (Rangers)

While Gordon has done well in his matchups with Bartolo Colon, Kyle Seager has not. Seager is just 4-for-27 (.148) against the ageless wonder with 5 strikeouts and zero extra-base hits. Colon isn’t exactly an ace, but the 44-year-old is cruising this season with a 1-1 record and 3.32 ERA.

Marwin Gonzalez (Astros) vs. Garrett Richards (Angels)

Marwin Gonzalez’s playing time has fallen off some lately, so there is a chance that with Garrett Richards on the mound for the Angels, Gonzalez could take a seat. However, even if Gonzalez is in the game tonight, it might be best to fade his prop bets. Gonzalez is only 2-for-19 (.105) against Richards with 7 strikeouts. Coincidently, George Springer has also struggled against Richards, so there may be some sense in betting the under if both Richards and Verlander are cruising tonight.
