Under the lights at Wrigley, the San Francisco Giants will look to employ a bullpen game as they take on the Chicago Cubs on the North Side. Here are our Giants-Cubs same-game parlay picks for Sunday.

We could have a wacky one at Wrigley Field, with two teams that have been moderately subdued in their scoring this weekend poised for offensive breakouts on Sunday.

Here are my same-game parlay picks for the Sunday Night Baseball matchup between the Giants and Cubs (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook).

Same-Game Parlay Predictions For Giants vs. Cubs

Cubs ML (-115)

The Giants' bullpen has allowed a collective .258 batting average this season, which ranks second-highest in MLB. And, well, this is a bullpen game. John Brebbia gets the start, but he’ll likely see just one inning as has been the case in each of his previous “starts” this year.

Wade Miley isn’t necessarily a huge pitching advantage for Chicago, but he’s at least a capable starter with experience. He’s dealt with injuries this year but pitched four innings while allowing two runs in his last start on Sept. 6.

Neither team has been strong this season, but the Giants have struggled on the road considerably, entering Sunday with a 29-41 away record this season.

Over 9.5 (+105)

Despite lower-scoring affairs in the first two contests of this series, both sides should contribute to the total runs scored in this game thanks to questions for both pitching plans. The Giants have a .737 OPS against LHP this season, which ranks in the top half of MLB.

The Giants' bullpen, though, ranks in the bottom 10 of MLB in ERA - not a great situation for a team deploying a bullpen game on Sunday. The weather in Chicago has been spotty throughout the day, so it could truly be a weird one at Wrigley. That leads to runs, in my mind.

DraftKings has the total at 9.5 with Over at +105. I like the FanDuel Sportsbook offering of Over 9 (-120) better, but this matchup is extremely limited in terms of attractive player props offered by FanDuel. We’re angling toward DraftKings for that reason, hoping for a major scoring outburst to take advantage of the plus-money odds on this leg.

Longoria Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)

Evan Longoria is the lone Giant with notable experience against Wade Miley in his career, and the numbers are relatively favorable from a power perspective. Though Longoria’s career batting average against the Cubs lefty is a low .243 (9-for-37), Longoria has a .568 slugging percentage against him behind the strength of three home runs and two doubles in that sample.

Longoria hasn’t been a major power contributor this season relative to his career, but with hits in six of his last 10 games, he’s a candidate for a strong day in a good matchup against Miley.
