Sports handicapper looks ahead to this weekend's top series in MLB action. We also have a big game coming up in the series -- Giants vs. Dodgers. Let's see how they fair on the MLB odds.

Here is a look ahead to two of this weekend's marquee series in MLB action.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox
The Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox meet at Fenway Park this weekend for a three game series. Toronto's lineup hasn't hit to the level many expected early in the season and their production at the plate specifically late in games has been very spotty. They should have a solid opportunity to get their lineup back on track here against a Boston team that is surprisingly ranked last in MLB in starters ERA right now with a 7.32 ERA from their starting pitchers including rough outings from ace David Price as well as Clay Buchholz earlier this week.

Toronto's starting pitching has been better than Boston's so far but the Red Sox will avoid having to face Blue Jays ace Marcus Stroman in this series which should set up the Red Sox lineup for some success in this series at the plate especially when they face the Jays bullpen which has been a bit of disappointment early in the season aside from their domiant closer Roberto Osuna. I think this series has high scoring potential with the Over offering value and it should be included as your MLB pick. I foresee this series being an Over much like it has during the Orioles/Red Sox series has this week at Fenway Park.

San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
The LA Dodgers will host the San Francisco Giants a week after the two teams faced off last weekend at AT&T Park in San Francisco. San Francisco is leading the NL West early in the season and I think they could turn out to be the better of these teams throughout the season. The LA Dodgers still have plenty of starting rotation question marks behind Clayton Kershaw.

San Francisco has an upgraded rotation with the additions of Johnny Cueto and Jeff Samardzija along with a solid bullpen and an imptoved lineup featuring a solid collection of hitters 1 thru 9 providing consistent and quality at-bats on a regular basis.

The LA Dodgers have been very inconsistent so far this season and dropped their home opener to Arizona at Dodger Stadium earlier this week as they continue to deal with a few key injuries as well including to one of their key starting pitchers Hyun-Jin Ryu. The San Francisco Giants have been an early season money maker for their backers this season and it wouldn't surprise me to see this continue on the weekend with the Giants continuing to offer rock solid MLB odds boards value.
