Our MLB handicapping professional shares his top two run-line picks with money line underdog prices. Go inside to read the details why he likes these MLB picks.

A’s (Overton) vs Indians (Tomlin) 7:10 PM ET
Southpaw Dillon Overton has made three starts in 2016 for Oakland and has been totally ineffective. During that trio of outings, Overton had a large 8.40 ERA and 1.93 WHIP.

Oakland lost to the Indians on Friday 5-3, and they’re now a respectable 5-2 during their previous seven games. Unfortunately, the A’s are 3-13 this year after winning five or six of their preceding seven games, and had a sizable -2.7 run per game differential in those sixteen specific situations. Since 2014, Oakland is a miserable 14-32 on the road in the second half of the season, versus a team with a winning record.

Cleveland has some odd day/night splits, and they’re beyond coincidental at this juncture. They’ve gone just 16-20 (.444) in day games and are an excellent 42-22 (.656) at night. Despite their win last night, Cleveland is 2-4 over its previous six games. Nevertheless, the Indians are 14-2 this season following four or five losses in their preceding six games and have a massive +3.3 run per game differential during those exact sixteen scenarios.

Josh Tomlin will get the start on the mound for Cleveland. Since 2015, Tomlin is an extremely profitable 11-1 in his team starts when facing a team with a losing record. Cleveland is also a stellar 14-4 in 2016 when Josh Tomlin is their starting pitcher.

I like Cleveland to win this game in a decisive manner. I’ll opt for a run line wager as one of my Saturday MLB picks.

Astros (Fiers) vs Tigers (Verlander) 7:10 PM ET
Michael Fiers has exhibited bad form during his prior three starts, evidenced by a large 8.36 ERA and 1.71 WHIP through that period of time. Fiers has also compiled an uninspiring 7.00 ERA and 1.69 WHIP during seven road starts this year. The Astros hurler made one start against Detroit this year, allowed 4 earned runs in 5 2/3 innings pitched, and surrendered 3 home runs.

Justin Verlander enters Saturday’s scheduled appearance in exemplary form over his last three starts, proven by a 1.29 ERA and 0.81 WHIP for the duration of that time.

By virtue of their 14-6 victory last night, the Tigers are currently riding a 4-game win streak. Furthermore, Detroit is 15-3 in 2016 following a game in which they scored 8 runs or more. The Tigers have been offensively productive over their previous seven games, averaging a lofty 6.4 runs per game, and collecting a noteworthy .849 team OPS.

I like Detroit to win in a rout today. Current MLB odds at 5Dimes offers the most advantageous price in that regard.
