Ross Benjamin runs down today's pitching matchups in hopes of finding a few games that offer distinct advantages to sports bettors. Which two games has he decided to back with his MLB picks tonight?

Milwaukee Brewers (Lohse) vs. Washington Nationals (Strasburg) 7:05 PM ET
The Brewers starter Kyle Lohse is 8-3 versus the MLB odds on the road this season with a respectable 3.99 ERA, and only 3 of those 11-outings stayed under the total. Lohse didn’t walk a batter in his last start, and when that occurs this season all 7 of his outings have gone over the total, with an average of 11.2 runs per game being scored. The Brewers right-hander has been very good in his last 3-starts versus the Nationals in posting a sparkling 1.80 ERA in the process.

The Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg enters tonight in very good form off his last 3-starts posting a 2.21 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP, and an almost 9:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Strasburg has seen 11 of his 13-starts at night this season go over the total. In his one start versus the Brewers this year (6/25/14) he allowed 7 earned runs and 8-hits during 4 2/3 innings of work.

MLB Betting Advantage: I like the probability of at least one of these starters to be shaky this evening. For that reason alone we are adding the 'over' to our MLB picks in what should be a low total.

Seattle Mariners (Iwakuma) vs. Los Angeles Angels (Weaver) 10:05 PM ET
The Mariners starter Hisashi Iwakuma has displayed superb form over his last 3-starts posting an excellent 1.25 ERA, a 0.74 WHIP, and struck out 25 while walking none. Iwakuma has gone a perfect 5-0 against the money line on the road this season with a stellar 3.31 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. The Mariners right-handed hurler has dominated the Angels going 6-0 against the money line in his career while posting an outstanding 1.60 ERA.

The Angels starter Jered Weaver has been unbeaten against the money line in his last 5-starts. However, he’s seen his last 2-starts both go over the total while posting a lofty 1.54 WHIP in the process. The Angels ace has gone 7-4 versus the money line at home this season with a very good 2.67 ERA.

MLB Betting Advantage: Small lean here to Hisashi Iwakuma over Jered Weaver for tonight's sports picks.
