Our daily “MLB Totals of the Day” featured article has been a huge success in 2015, and especially of late. We’ve gone 6-0 in the last three days and 10-2-2 during the previous seven days on MLB totals.

Mariners (Walker) vs. Twins (Millone) 8:10 PM ET
Tijuan Walker has been in very shaky form over his previous four starts, posting a large 8.02 ERA, and he surrendered 6 home runs in 21 1/3 innings pitched. The Mariners hurler also has an unimpressive 5.84 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in eleven road starts this season. Seattle has gone 6-0-1 over the total in their last seven games, and had a superb.476 team slugging percentage during that time frame. Those seven contests average a combined 10.7 runs scored per game.

Tommy Millone hasn’t fared well during his previous two starts, compiling a sizable 9.34 ERA, and allowing a whopping 5 home runs in just 8 2/3 innings pitched. Millone has gone 13-3 over the total at home since 2014. That includes 8-1 over at home if he’s installed at -100 to -150 on the money line. Minnesota has gone over the total in six straight games, and eight of their last nine at Target Field. They averaged 6.2 runs and 11.3 hits per game during their previous six outings.

I like this game to be a high scoring affair for one of my MLB picks. Heritage provides me with the cheapest price in that regard.

MLB Pick: Mariners and Twins over 8.5 (-115) at Heritage.

Diamondbacks (De La Rosa) vs. Astros (Feldman) 8:10 PM ET
Rubby De La Rosa has a lofty 5.04 ERA in 9 road starts this year. He’s also allowed an alarming 22 home runs this season in 125 1/3 innings pitched. That’s not good news since he’ll be facing an Astros team which leads Major League Baseball with 141 home runs on the year. This will be his first start of the season versus Houston. He did face the Astros once last season, and allowed 6 earned runs on 9 hits while walking four in just 4.0 innings of work. Arizona enters today on a five game winning streak, and they’re 8-1 over the total in 2015 after winning three or more games in a row.

I would be very surprised if Scott Feldman remains part of the Astros starting rotation much longer. He’s especially struggled in eight starts at home with a lofty 5.62 ERA, and allowed 8 home runs in 40.0 innings pitched. Houston is 8-1 over the total in 2015 versus National League opponents, and those tilts averaged a combined 11.2 runs scored per game.

My lean will be to go over the total in this game. Pinnacle has the lowest number combined with a favorable price compared to other major sports-books.

MLB Pick: Diamondbacks and Astros over 8.0 (-113) at Pinnacle.
