The MLB Player Props are out as we begin the weekend series for the respective teams in the MLB. From the looks of Friday's props, there are some decisive edges in which the bettor will prosper. Let's expose the advantages and look to make a profit.

Braves vs. Pirates: Will Kelly Johnson Record A Hit?
Yes -200
No- 160
Johnson has hit safely in his last 4 games and is 5 for his last 9 at-bats. This prop appears to be a shoe-in for the yes. The only negative is that he'll be facing Francisco Liriano of the Pittsburgh Pirates. While Liriano has had a couple of very poor outings, he's an above average pitcher that can go deep into games when he's locked in. Liriano is the concern. That said, I'm going to look for Johnson to extend his hitting streak and take the yes.

MLB Pick -Yes -200

Nationals vs. Phillies: Total Strikeouts For Max Scherzer
Over 8.5 -115
Uner 8.5 -115
You MUST love this prop as Scherzer has pitched the best two back to back performances that we might have seen in decades. In his last 2 games, Scherzer has allowed 1 hit, 1 walk and 26 strikeouts in 18 innings without allowing a run. That's as good as it ever will get. Let's also remember that he's facing the worst team in the majors in the Philadelphia Phillies. This is an automatic over. I'm shocked that the total is so low.

MLB Pick - Over 8.5 -115

Nationals vs. Phillies: Total Runs, Hits, and Runs Batted In For Bryce Harper
Over 2.5 +120
Under 2.5 -150
Harper is the best player in the game and he's playing the worst team in the MLB. That said, the odds are directed towards the under. Maybe the odds makers know something that we don't know.

Harper missed yesterday's game with an injury and this prop is tricky. One swing of the bat and it could be over as Harper is capable of muscling a home run at any time. In his last 4 games, Harper has 2 HR and 5 RBI and he's hit safely in 8 out of his last 10 games. Him sitting out yesterday is bothering me. I can see him getting a hit, but no more.Take the under and go with the MLB odds as the obvious doesn't always happen.

MLB Pick- Under 2.5 -150

Indians vs. Orioles: Total Strikeouts For Corey Kluber
Over 7.5 -150
Under 7.5- +120
I mentioned in a previous article how Kluber hadn't had the season that he had last year, but the Indians offense had been providing no run support for him as he's 3-9 with a  sub 4.00 ERA; that's crazy. This prop is an individual performance related prop and that will work to the benefit of the bettors that back him and don't have to rely on the Tribe's crummy offense.

In his last 3 outings, Kluber has grossly underperformed where strikeouts are concerned, averaging 4 strikeouts per game. The total and odds appear very high. Although I think that Kluber will pitch well, he needs to prove that he can eclipse the 7.5 mark before I take an over with odds such as these. Under is the play.

MLB Pick- Under 7.5 +120

Most Hits, Runs, and RBI's
Manny Machado -105
Jason Kipnis -125
This is a no-brainer as Kipnis is on a 19 game hitting streak while batting .565 over the past week and .391 for the month. I know that Machado has more pop, but Machado will also be facing Kluber and I'm not ready to give up on Kluber as his ERA is just fine. Kipnis is the MLB pick as he's been a terror as of late.

MLB Pick- Jason Kipnis -125
