Our professional sports handicapping consultant continues to fire on all cylinders this week pertaining to his daily “MLB Totals of the Day” featured article. After another 2-0 on Wednesday, he’s 9-1 this week with those picks. Read this informative piece that isolates his two best MLB totals selections for Friday.

Blue Jays (Hutchinson) vs. Red Sox (Kelly) 7:10 PM ET
Drew Hutchinson has gone 5-1 over the total on the road in 2015 with a large 7.80 ERA. He’s made one start at Fenway Park in Boston this year and it was totally ineffective. In that outing, he allowed 6 earned runs, gave up 9 hits, walked five while striking out none, and all in only 4.0 innings of work.

Joe Kelly has a very inconsistent performance line in 2015. As a matter of fact, he’s allowed 5 earned runs or more in five of his last nine starts. Kelly has made two starts versus Toronto this season, and was awful on both occasions, posting a large 8.48 ERA and 1.63 WHIP.

I’ll be looking for this game to be a high scoring affair, and one of my MLB picks on Friday will be indicative of just that. After shopping for the best price on this total, Bookmaker was my choice.

MLB Picks: Blue Jays and Red Sox over the total of 9.0 (+100) at Bookmaker.

A’s (Chavez) vs. Angels (Santiago) 10:05 PM ET
The A’s Jesse Chavez has gone 7-1 under the total this season while posting an impressive 2.79 ERA. Since the start of the 2014 MLB campaign, Chavez has made three career starts at Anaheim and all of those went under the total. In those outings, Chavez possessed superb numbers, posting a 1.89 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 4:1 strikeout to walk ratio.

The Angels Hector Santiago has compiled an impressive 2.69 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in eleven starts this year. The southpaw hurler has been terrific in his young career versus Oakland, evidenced by an excellent 1.01 ERA in six starts, and all of those outings have taken place since 2013. The Angels bats seem to be coming alive of late. However, they return from a six game East Coast road trip at New York and Tampa Bay. They concluded that road swing with a 6-2 win at Tampa last night, and then made the cross country trek back to the west coast immediately following the game. That sort of travel itinerary more times than not, isn’t conducive to a productive offensive performance.

I’m looking for this to be a low scoring game tonight. The best price on a total in that regard is at Pinnacle.

MLB Pick: A’s and Angels to go under 7.5 (-113) at Pinnacle.
