Our MLB handicapping professional has gone 30-22 with his last 52 underdog picks. Go inside to find out what two underdogs he’s using on Thursday.

Reds (Finnegan) vs. Nationals (Gonzalez)
The Nationals Gio Gonzalez has been brutal of late. Gonzalez is 0-7 in his last seven team starts with a large 8.43 ERA and 1.71 WHIP. Cincinnati’s Brandon Finnegan has displayed very good form over his previous five starts, posting a stellar 3.19 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in those outings.

These two starting pitchers opposed each other earlier this month (6/3) in Cincinnati, and the Reds came away with a 7-2 win. Finnegan allowed just 1 earned run on 5 hits in 6 1/3 innings, and Gonzales was rocked for 5 earned runs on 9 hits during 6.0 innings of work.

The Nationals are coming off a four game sweep of their division rival New York Mets. The Reds have lost seven of its last eight, and they’ve gone a miserable 11-25 on the road this year. When it applies to sports betting, it’s just never that easy. I’m going with a contrarian approach in this matchup when making one of my Thursday MLB picks.

Orioles (Tillman) vs. Mariners (Walker)
Baltimore has won seven games in a row. During that win streak, they’ve averaged an extremely impressive 8.7 runs scored per game, and compiled an off the charts .990 OPS. Baltimore leads the American League with 124 home runs, and that includes a massive 55 hit in June.

Chris Tillman has gone 7-0 during nine career starts against Seattle with a sparkling 2.96 ERA. Baltimore is a highly profitable 14-2 this year when Chris Tillman is their starting pitcher.

Seattle starter Tijuan Walker is 0-4 with a lofty 5.52 ERA in his career team starts against Baltimore, and all of those have taken place since 2015. Seattle has gone a dismal 11-21 over their last 32 games.

I love the money line underdog value in this game with all things being considered. Current MLB odds provide me with the best price for this wager.
