Free MLB picks for a few of tonight's biggest matchups. Where do we believe that the best edge lies for MLB bettors tonight?

It’s time to move on and bounce back as I had my first legitimately poor day this season. When it comes to finding MLB betting value tonight, I see some great opportunities to lay little or no juice. Let’s “squeeze out some wins”.

Daily MLB Odds & Betting Lines Report

Los Angeles Angels (9-16) at Oakland Athletics (15-12)

With all of the ammunition that the Angels have, they should be the leaders in the American League West. They’re big-time underachievers and have fallen out of favor with the public.

Luckily for L.A., they face “my favorite whipping dummy”, Oakland starter, Jarrod Parker. I‘ve had major success fading Parker and his 0-4 record with an 8.10 ERA.

Parker has gotten very little runs support, but his pitching has been a flat-out disaster this season. You have an opportunity to fade Parker once again and pickup MLB odds of +101 with the Angels.

The Giant Has Awoken

Los Angeles has lost 3 straight games and are just 3-10 on the road this season. Albert Pujols has been a huge waste of money since the Angels signed him last year, but is coming off of a huge game yesterday against Oakland.

Pujols was 4 for 8 with 2 home runs, 3 runs scored and 3 runs batted in. The game still amounted to a loss in 19 innings, but maybe this will get Pujols on track and the Angels need Fat Albert to start hitting.

Time To Look In the Mirror

Mike Trout and his .252 batting average are experiencing a sophomore slump. Trout was just 1 for 8 yesterday while Josh Hamilton took the collar at 0 for 8. With a nucleus of Trout, Pujols, and Hamilton, this team should be dominating major league baseball. When will this team wake up?

Oakland features two players who played well during the “marathon” in Brandon Moss and Josh Donaldson. Donaldson is hitting a scorching .327 this season and Parker will need the bats to back him up.

I’m going to take a risk at these odds and hope that LA snaps out of it. They have the far superior lineup and the fact that Albert Pujols had a huge game has inspired me despite their .300 winning percentage on the road.

MLB Pick- Angels +101 at 5 Dimes

There’s lots of big-time favorites such as the Yankees and Tigers, but I’m in a conservative mindset today.  I see a tough game in Kansas City vs. Tampa Bay and that’s where we’re headed next.

Tampa Bay (12-13) at Kansas City (13-10)

I like this game for one reason and one reason only; Alex Cobb (3-1, 1.82) made such a positive impression on me against the Yankees that I can’t resist backing him.

In his last outing, Cobb held the Yankees in check. He gave up 3 hits of shutout ball and 7 strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings.

What impresses me the most was the manner in which he won . The Yankees hitters could barely lay wood on the ball; forcing slow grounders, lightly hit popups and lightly hit fly balls. It’s definitely the best expression of dominance by a pitcher that I’ve personally witnessed on television. There was a hopeless look in the Yankees dugout for the entire game.

Cobb faces James Shields (1-2, 3.09) and Shields has pitched well also. His losses come from a lack of run support from a solid Kansas City ball club. This should be a tight game. The Royals have proven that they’re a much improved ball club and although the Rays have been slow to get out of the box, they’ve won 2 consecutive games.

Although Ben Zobrist was the hero for the Rays in an 8-3 win over the White Sox yesterday, James Loney has hit surprisingly well this season. Loney has a .349 batting average and the Rays have some very respectable hitters in their lineup. Expect them to get over the .500 mark and start to make a move.

Alex Gordon

The Royals offense has been somewhat inept this season, but leadoff hitter, Alex Gordon, has carried them on his back. Gordon is hitting .323 with 2 HR and 17 RBI. Gordon is also 3 for 7 lifetime against Alex Cobb.

For the second of my free picks, I’m going to go with the underdog Rays in this spot. I know that the Rays are terrible on the road and are underachieving, but Alex Cobb has been superb. Along with Cobb, the Rays offense is far superior to that of the Royals.
