We are looking to sweep the board in our MLB picks once again as Wednesday's Top Totals. Let's review the matchups for today's slate and keep the momentum going.

Swinger’s MLB Record: 54-23, +32.03 units
One of these days I'm going to wake up and think, wow, I had a dream that I was the hottest capper in the country and all my sides and totals were nothing but gold. Well, if this is a dream I don't want it to end because I am quite simply - on fire. From the beginning of the baseball season until this very day I am literally handicapping winners at over 70 percent. My record is 54-23 on the season and +32.03 units (with a constant one unit assigned to each play) and you can document it by clicking my name and reviewing every one of my MLB picks this season.

I took yesterday off but Monday we cashed with the Cubs and for all you over/under fans we have gone 5-0 in totals over the past two Wednesdays. It's been a magical season and the ride is far from over so let's keep this ATM spitting out money as we review the MLB odds and pick out the sharpest totals of the day.

Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers
Justin Verlander has been getting it done recently with outstanding performances over his last three starts. The former Cy Young Award winner has allowed just four runs over those three appearances and has surrendered an average of only four-plus hits per game. Verlander is 16-8 when starting against the Twins over his career with an ERA of 3.14 and a WHIP of 1.263.

On the flipside, we have Ervin Santana who has been equally as good over his recent appearances. Santana has surrendered five runs on 11 hits over his last three starts and the most impressive came on July 6th when he blanked the A's 4-0 by tossing a complete game and allowed just two hits. Santana is 9-3 when starting against the Tigers with an ERA of 3.27 and a WHIP of 1.118

This is a pitcher's duel between two wily and talented veterans who are getting into their groove after a few rough patches in the early going. Though the Tigers offense is better than most they have not scored more than four runs in over two weeks. In addition, The Twins are once again in the bottom third in most offensive categories and won't put much of a scare into Verlander who has handled them with aplomb throughout his career. Go low in this one.

Cleveland Indians vs. KC Royals
Carlos Carrasco will be chuckin' for the Tribe this afternoon and he is hoping to continue his stellar efforts over his last seven starts where he has held the opposition to two runs or less. He last pitched his team to a victory over the Twins when he went six-plus innings and allowed only four hits on two earned runs in the 5-2 road victory. Carrasco is 6-4 when starting against the Royals with an ERA of 3.53 and a WHIP of 1.237.

Carrasco's opposing number is Ian Kennedy who returns to the hill for the defending world champs after a solid effort in a losing cause against the Detroit Tigers. Kennedy allowed one run on four hits over five-plus innings of work in the 4-2 setback to Detroit in his last appearance. Kennedy is 2-1 when starting against the Indians with an ERA of 4.41 and a WHIP of 1.194.

Both pitchers have been aces during their days' games with Carrasco owning a 1.19 ERA while Kennedy has been almost as good with a 1.46 ERA. Here are a few stats to consider:

Under is 5-0 in Kennedy’s last five starts.

Under is 4-0 in Kennedy’s last four starts vs. a team with a winning record.

Under is 4-1 in Carrasco’s last five starts vs. a team with a winning record.

Under is 4-1 in Carrasco’s last five starts vs. AL Central.
