It is the final contest of what has been a spirited four-game series between the two best teams in the NL West. For those betting baseball, the starting pitching matchup should be outstanding.

It is scheduled to be 20-year Julio Urias versus 22-year old Antonio Senzatela and both have gotten off to very strong starts in 2017. Who has the edge in this contest, let's break it down and try and come up with an answer.

Pitching Matchup - Urias vs. Senzatela

Urias (0-0, 1.06 ERA) started the year in the minors, as Los Angeles did not need a fifth starter right way. The left-hander has made three starts this season and the Dodgers have been very conscious of his pitch count, not letting him to reach triple digits. Opposing batters are hitting just .164 against him, however, he's not been overpowering or had exceptional command with 10 walks and 10 strikeouts in 17 innings. This will be his third appearance against Colorado and second at Coors Field.

After what seems like an eternity, Colorado seems to finally be wising up and is developing pitching talent. Case in point is their rookie Senzatela (5-1, 2.86), who keeps the ball down, throws strikes and works both sides of the plate. The right-hander is not flame-thrower, yet he clearly has a plan and gives up far less than a hit and inning (36 over 44 innings) and has not placed himself in jeopardy, walking only 11 hitters. This will be his first game against L.A.

 Will Both Offenses Stay Hot?

Going into Game 3, both offenses have really been putting off the runs. The Dodgers had scored 7.4 runs a game in the past seven contests. Rookie Cody Bellinger is hitting over .300 and hit seven bombs in his first 16 games. Justin Turner has been hot since opening day and is batting around .350 and Corey Seager is not having a sophomore slump, hitting close to .300 and leading Los Angeles is runs batted in.

After a dawdling start, Colorado is starting to swing the bats and have averaged 5.7 RPG. One player who has been sizzling since day one is Mark Reynolds. He leads the Rockies in almost every hitting category and is batting nearly a 100 points higher than his career average of .237. Nolan Arenado and Charlie Blackmon are doing their usual fine work at the dish and have close to a .350 on-base percentage.

 L.A. Dodgers vs Colorado Rockies

Most sportsbooks MLB odds opened with the Dodgers as -120 favorites. Late last night Los Angeles went up to -140, with total of 10.5. Going into Saturday, Colorado had won 13 of the previous 23 skirmishes at Coors Field and the total was 12-11 OVER. The Dodgers bullpen leads the National League in ERA and the Rockies pensters are lights out when it comes to closing games out with a save percentage of almost 90 percent.

The Winner Is......

As much as I like how Colorado has played, for MLB picks I still stick with the Dodgers, who I believe is the better team and their offense will get to the Rocks rookie hurler.
