Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides a look at MLB Overnight Betting Lines for the games taking place on Sunday, June 5. Don't make a move without reading this betting preview.

Washington Nationals vs. Cincinnati Reds
This should be a starting pitching mismatch favoring the Washington Nationals on Sunday when Tanner Roark faces Jon Moscot. Roark has been rock solid entering this game with a 2.70 ERA this season and has been just as good on the road with a 2.73 ERA and his track record against the Reds is solid allowing 4 earned runs in 19 innings of work in three career starts against Cincinnati. Jon Moscot returned from the DL to face Colorado earlier this week and promptly got crushed allowing 7 runs and 4 homers in 2 innings.

He has a 7.13 overall ERA and a 5.40 ERA at home. His 8 home runs allowed in 17.2 innings pitched this season makes Moscot a horrible fit for this ballpark and I expect the Nationals to be able to have their share of success at the plate against him and the consistently woeful Cincinnati bullpen behind Moscot. I’ll recommend Washington on the ML if they are priced at -150 or better. If they come out higher than that, I’ll make a run line play on Washington -1.5 runs to win by margin.

Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres
Jon Gray is a bet on pitcher and has clearly established himself as the pitcher with the most upside on the Colorado Rockies rotation. Gray is coming off B2B solid efforts against Boston and Cincinnati allowing 5 runs in 13.1 innings of work with the Rockies winning both of those games. Gray has strong numbers against San Diego holding the Padres to 3 runs in 16 innings of work over three starts against them in his career and should be able to neutralize a San Diego lineup that is much weaker against righties than lefties this season.

On the flip side, James Shields gets the start for San Diego and his name has been in trade rumors for weeks now and it may be affecting him mentally right now as his last start was a flat out disaster against Seattle as Shields was lit up for 10 runs on 8 hits in 2.2 innings of work. San Diego has not been winning games with Shields on the mound this season: 2-9 in his 11 starts overall and 1-5 in his six home starts at Petco Park this season. Colorado is the call for me in this game to pick up the win behind Jon Gray who has emerged as their best pitcher at this stage of the season.
