Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides an MLB Early Lines Report for the baseball card taking place on Wednesday, September 7.

Texas Rangers vs Seattle Mariners
The Texas Rangers are on a perfect 7-0 Over the total stretch in their last 7 games with a combination of a potent lineup but erratic starting pitching that has failed to eat innings leading to a taxed and at times ineffective bullpen in the latter stages of games. Those are all elements that could continue here and lead to another high scoring affair on Wednesday night as the Rangers take on the Mariners. A.J. Griffin is on the mound for Texas and he hasn’t pitched more than 6 innings in 10 straight starts and has a 4.61 ERA on the road this season. The Rangers bullpen has logged a lot of innings recently thanks to a stretch of 10 straight games in which Texas starters have not recorded an out past the 6th inning.

That has left the Texas bullpen fatigued and much less effective in the latter innings and should open the door for Seattle to capitalize on it offensively here. On the flip side, Texas and their red hot bats are poised to hit Ariel Miranda hard in this game. The Rangers will be facing a Mariners lefty who doesn’t appear to be ready for a Major League rotation right now. Miranda has allowed 7 runs on 10 hits with as many walks as strikeouts in his last 10 innings of work. He’s also failed to eat up innings pitching no more than 6 innings in each of his first five big league starts and the Over is 4-1 in those games. I expect runs in bunches from both teams sending this game Over the total and extending the Over streak to 7-1 in the last 8 meetings between Texas and Seattle. I suggest taking the over for your MLB picks.
