DraftKings US Promo Code: World Series Game 5

Philadelphia fans filled the stands for Game 4 of the World Series expecting to see a continuation of the offensive onslaught they saw the night before. Instead, they watched as their team was kept scoreless and hitless by the opposing pitchers.

The Phillies became the second team in the history of the Fall Classic at the wrong end of a no-hitter joining the 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers on that list. Only three batters reached base against the four Houston pitchers who combined for the no-no. The performance was made even more impressive considering the seven runs the Astros surrendered to Philadelphia’s hitters the night before.

Noah Syndergaard will take the mound tonight as the Phillies play their last game of the season in front of their fans at Citizens Bank Park. Syndergaard began the season in Los Angeles and was 5-8 with the Angels. However, he is 5-2 since coming to Philadelphia with a 4.12 ERA. He has two starts in his career against the Astros and is 1-0. He’s appeared in 9 1/3 innings surrendering five hits, three earned runs and six walks to Houston.

The Phillies must have emptied the tank after hitting five home runs in Game 3 only to find themselves without a hit the following night. They can only hope those tanks were refilled before their last game at home. Three Philadelphia batters struck out three times in the loss with Bryce Harper adding two of his own to the 14 total by the team.

Both teams have swapped wins in the series and Philadelphia would love to keep that trend going and pull ahead 3-2 before leaving their home fans for the final time this year.
