Our sports betting consultant has gone a terrific 5-1 with his MLB picks at SBR over the last two wagering days. He provides us with a enlightening MLB betting preview article on Wednesday’s game between the Nationals and Yankees.

Nationals and Yankees for the Final Time in 2015
The New Yankees and Washington Nationals will meet for the final time in this 2015 regular season on Wednesday at 7:05 PM ET. This will be the finale of a short two game series at Yankee Stadium, and New York was a 6-1 winner on Tuesday. According to the MLB betting odds at Bookmaker, the Yankees are a -124 money line favorite, and the posted total is 8.5.

Starting Pitchers
The Nationals will send their southpaw Gio Gonzalez to the mound today. Gonzalez has been very shaky over his previous five starts, posting a lofty 5.85 ERA, and unimpressive 1.59 WHIP. He’s made one start versus the Yankees in 2015 and was ineffective, allowing 6 earned runs in 5.0 innings pitched. As a matter of fact, Gonzalez has gone 1-5 in his team starts versus the Yankees since 2010, and posted a large 8.61 ERA and 1.98 WHIP in those outings.

Nathan Eovaldi will get the start for the Yankees on Wednesday. He’s gone 3-0 in his last three team starts while posting a stellar 2.65 ERA. Eovaldi is 4-1 in his team starts at Yankee Stadium this season, and compiled a respectable 3.90 ERA in those outings.

Heading in opposite Directions
The Washington Nationals enter today having lost three in a row, and are a dismal 2-9 in their last eleven games. During that eleven game span, they’re pitching staff has a poor collective ERA of 5.58. Pitching hasn’t been the only part of the Nationals performance line which has suffered of late. Washington has scored 3 runs or less in 15 of their previous 18 games.

The Yankees will be riding a seven game win streak heading into Wednesday’s game. The Bronx Bombers have scored five runs or more in six of those seven games.

Final Analysis
It would be difficult to fade the red-hot Yankees against a struggling Nationals club today with all things being considered. I previously mentioned the money line that Bookmaker has on this game tonight, and it’s the most favorable one in terms of wagering on the home team like I’ll be doing with one of my MLB picks for Wednesday.

MLB Picks: Yankees -124 on the money line at Bookmaker.
