We browse the early MLB odds board in search of betting value on Friday's card. Read on and find two selections to maximize your profits at the start of the weekend.

Astros vs. Tigers

Left-hander Dallas Keuchel (9-0, 1.67 ERA, 0.87 WHIP) takes the hill for the Astros for the first time in almost two months after suffering a neck injury in early June. Keuchel made two rehab appearances in the minors, throwing eight innings while giving up just one earned run on five hits. He'll likely face a pitch count against the Tigers after tossing just 62 pitches during his longest rehab outing, but he was putting together an impressive season and he's 5-0 with a 2.20 ERA and one complete game in six road starts.

Jordan Zimmermann (6-8, 5.81 ERA, 1.56 WHIP) will get the ball for the Tigers after a poor effort against the Twins last Saturday, when he allowed five earned runs on nine hits and four walks with just one strikeout through only 3 2/3 innings of a 6-5 loss. Zimmermann has posted a 4.75 ERA in eight home starts this season and he's proven to be unreliable, so I'm taking the Astros on the road at -175 MLB odds.

Cubs vs. Brewers

Jose Quintana (6-8, 4.22 ERA, 1.26 WHIP) starts for the Cubs after winning his second appearance with the team, giving up three earned runs on five hits (two home runs) with two walks and seven strikeouts over six innings of a 5-3 victory over the Cardinals last Sunday. Quintana has a decent 3.05 strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) this season and a solid 2.08 ERA in his two starts with the Cubs, so look for a strong second half from him.

Brent Suter (1-1, 2.84 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) will make his 13th appearance of the season (sixth start), looking for his first win since July 3. Suter allowed just one earned run on five hits with zero walks and five strikeouts over six innings to get a no-decision in a 9-8 win against the Phillies last Saturday and he's posted a 1.96 ERA over his last four starts. I'm going Under 9.5 (-120) with my MLB picks here.
