San Francisco snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory Saturday night. Are you willing to bet on this being the start of a run for the Giants? Find out how we are placing our MLB picks.

D'Backs-Giants Game 3 Recap
San Francisco got a quality outing from starter Chris Heston and a two-run homer from Brandon Crawford, on its way to claiming its first victory in nine days Saturday, 4-1.

The Giants won as -140 moneyline favorites, and the game, to our delight, played UNDER its MLB odds total of seven runs, as neither team scored after the fourth inning.

It was also San Francisco's first win at home this season, after five misfires.

Heston allowed just one run and five hits through 7 2/3 innings, walking one while whiffing six; Arizona starter Rubby De La Rosa gave up three earned runs and nine hits through 6 2/3 innings, walking two while striking out seven.

And Giants closer Santiago Casilla threw the ninth inning, picking up his fourth save of this season.

San Francisco has now played seven UNDERS in its last 11 games, in part because it's been held to two or fewer runs seven times over its last 10 games.

D'Backs-Giants Game 4 Betting Odds
As of early Sunday morning the best price we could find on San Francisco and Tim Hudson was the -134 offered at Pinnacle, while Arizona and Jeremy Hellickson were getting +131 at Heritage. And the total on today's game sat at 7.5 runs.

Those thinking about taking a chance with the home team on the run line could get +170 at 5Dimes.

Sunday's Starters
Hudson will be making his third start of this season; ten days ago he held the Padres scoreless through 6 1/3 innings of a 1-0 San Francisco victory, and five days ago he held Colorado to three runs through seven innings, although the Giants lost that game 4-1. So San Francisco has split his two starts, and both starts played UNDER.

Last year Hudson started twice against Arizona, allowing two ER and 10 hits through 15 2/3 innings; the Giants won both those games.

Hellickson will be making his third start of this season for his new team. Eleven days ago the former Ray gave up three runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings of a 5-2 loss to these Giants; and five days ago he gave up five runs and seven hits through 6 2/3 innings of a 5-1 loss to San Diego. So Arizona is 0-2 in Hellickson's starts, while both starts played UNDER on the totals, mainly because the D'Backs have scored just three runs in those two games.

That start 11 days ago is Hellickson's only career start against San Francisco.

D'Backs-Giants Game 4 Free Pick
Hudson beat Arizona twice last year, and perhaps Saturday's victory is the start of something better for San Francisco. For our MLB picks we like the Giants chances of earning the series split Sunday.
