Our MLB betting expert shares his top two run line picks with money line underdog prices. Go inside to read this revealing betting article detailing precisely why he likes these MLB picks.

Kansas City Royals (Volquez) vs. Miami Marlins (Koehler)
Kansas City had their nine-game win streak come to an end last night in Miami. The Royals have shown signs of reverting back to being anemic offensively, evidenced by their combined 3 runs scored and 19 hits over its last three games. Although Kansas City has been red-hot of late, we must keep in mind, they’re still a team that’s gone a dismal 25-40 during away games this season.

Edinson Volquez gets the start tonight for Kansas City, and he’s struggled mightily over his last five starts. Through that course of time, Volquez has compiled a hefty 7.24 and 1.79 WHIP.

Miami’s Tom Koehler will look to continue his recent string of superb pitching performances. Koehler has collected a terrific 1.62 ERA and 0.85 WHIP through his previous six starts. The Marlins bullpen has been lights out over its preceding seven games, proven by their excellent staff ERA of 1.29 during that time period.

Pittsburgh Pirates (Kuhl) vs. Milwaukee Brewers (Peralta)
Milwaukee’s Wiley Peralta has been terrible in nine starts at Miller Park this season, demonstrated by his lofty 6.36 ERA and 1.71 WHIP when pitching at home.

Milwaukee is coming off a resounding 8-1 win over Pittsburgh last night. However, since 2015, the Brewers are a grim 4-15 following a win by 6 runs or more and owned a sizable -2.8 run per game differential during those nineteen situations.

Chad Kuhl will be on the mound today for Pittsburgh, and he’s been superb in seven starts since being called up from the minors. Through the course of those outings, Kuhl has gathered an impressive 1.18 WHIP, and Pittsburgh went 6-1. Additionally, Kuhl is 3-0 in his road team starts with an outstanding 2.00 ERA and 0.78 WHIP. He can also take solace in knowing, the Pirates bullpen has been fabulous throughout their preceding seven games, verified by a minuscule 1.96 staff ERA thru that span.

The Pirates will have an excellent opportunity tonight to snap their current five-games losing streak. Furthermore, I look for them to do so by a convincing margin. One of my Thursday MLB picks will reflect that prediction, and it’ll be a run line wager made at Island Casino.
