Royals vs. White Sox 7:10 PM ET

The Royals will send southpaw Daniel Duffy to the mound for the 2nd of a 3-game American League Central series. Duffy has seen his last 4-starts go under the total while posting an excellent 1.03 ERA in the process. The Royals hurler has seen just 8 of his 24-starts in 2014 go over the total, and had a superb 2.33 ERA in those outings. He’s gone 3-0 against the money versus the White Sox Sox in his career, posted a stellar 1.23 ERA, and all of those outings have come since 2011.

The Chicago White Sox will counter with a southpaw of their own in John Danks. The long time White Sox hurler has gone an abysmal 1-8 in his last 9 against the money, and had a lofty 5.68 ERA. However, in 3-starts versus the Royals since the start of the 2013 season, he’s compiled a shining 1.29 ERA

Advantage: Duffy has been much more solid this season, compared to Danks’ 2014 campaign that’s been a bit turbulent in nature. My betting lean goes to Duffy of the Royals over Danks of the White Sox. Place your MLB picks at 5Dimes.

Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks 8:10 PM ET
The Cardinals starter Lance Lynn enters tonight in terrific form over his last 3-starts, posting a 2.14 ERA, a microscopic 0.76 WHIP, and 5:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Lynn has gone 3-1 against the money in his career versus the Diamondbacks, with a very good 2.86 ERA, and all of those outings have come since 2012.

Wade Miley takes the hill for the last time this season, and the southpaw has really struggled for the better part of the year. He’s really had a difficult time in recent starts, going 1-8 against the money in his last 9, and posting a very lofty 5.64 ERA in the process. Miley also has a rather large 5.73 ERA in his 14-starts at home during the 2014 season.

Advantage: Based on the reasonable MLB odds moneyline, and the recent forms of both starting pitchers, my wagering edge clearly goes to Lance Lynn of the Cardinals, over Wade Miley of the Diamondbacks.
