Our MLB professional capper shares his top totals picks on Saturday’s card. Read this revealing betting article which covers totals in games between the White Sox/Royals & Mariners/Athletics.

White Sox (Quintana) vs. Royals (Duffy) 7:10 PM ET
Jose Quintana has seen each of his previous seven starts go over the total. He’s been especially shaky during his last three, posting a lofty 4.96 ERA and 1.78 WHIP. The White Sox southpaw has a sizable 6.00 ERA and 1.75 WHIP during his previous two starts versus Kansas City this season. The White Sox have gone 5-1 over the total in their last six, and have averaged 6.0 runs per game during that stretch. They’ve also seen seven of their last eight away game go over the total.

Daniel Duffy has struggled a bit during his previous three starts, posting a 4.59 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in those outings. He started against the White Sox on 8/9 and lasted only 3 1/3 innings. Kansas City has averaged a robust 6.3 runs per game over their previous seven, and also compiled a very good .816 OPS during that time frame.

This has the earmarks of a high scoring contest, and that prediction will correspond to one of my MLB picks on Saturday. According to MLB betting odds at the major sportsbooks, this total ranges from 8.0 to 8.5. It’s 5Dimes that provides me with the best combination of number and price for this wager.

MLB Pick: Play the White Sox and Royals Over 8.0 (-117) at 5Dimes.

Mariners (Hernadez)  vs. A’s (Chavez) 9:05 PM ET
Felix Hernandez has really shown signs of wearing down during the second half of this season. The former American League CY Young winner has gone 5-1 over the total in his last six starts with a large 7.12 ERA. He’s been less than his dominating self on the road in 2015, evidenced by a beatable 4.57 ERA during those outings. Seattle has gone over the total in six straight heading into today, and averaged an impressive 6.8 runs scored per game in that span. As a matter of fact, they’ve gone 21-7-1 over the total in their previous twenty-nine games.

Jesse Chavez has been awful in three starts versus Seattle in 2015, posting a less than imposing 7.13 ERA. Oakland has gone 10-1-1 over the total in their previous twelve games. They’re also 35-17 over the number this season when facing AL West opponents.

I’m leaning toward this game playing on the high side of the ledger. TheGreek.com is the only major sportsbook with a total of 7.0 for this game, and the rest reside at 7.5.

MLB Pick: Play on the Mariners and A’s Over 7.0 (-125) at The Greek.
